This may have already been covered but here goes.
10 spots available in BCS.
AUTOMATIC BIDS
SEC - Bama or Fla
Big 10 - OSU(probably)
Big 12 - Tex
Pac 10 - Oregon
ACC - GA tech
Big East - Cincy

AT LARGE BIDS
Bama or Fla
Boise
TCU

Thats 9 teams and no one else is currently ranked higher in the BCS. I may be missing something, but assuming we win out, is a BCS berth possible?

It would take a Bama or Florida regular season loss plus that team losing in the SEC championship game.

As has been repeated a hundred time to some not so smart folks on this board, a conference can only have two teams in the BCS. So unless LSU wins out and Alabama or Florida loses twice, LSU won't be in the BCS.

If bama loses a regular season game and then FLA handles them in SEC title. It is possible for us to get go.

Honestly I don't know if 2 losses would drop them below LSU since LSU has 2 losses. I haven't done the math though.

I don't see how, if Florida embarrasses Bama in the SECCG, the Sugar Bowl could take the Tide over the Tigers after what happenned Saturday

You're joking right? A one-loss Alabama who beat a two-loss LSU?

No a two-loss Alabama that lost to either Miss. State or Auburn and then Florida.

We'll know better at the end of the season. Ole Miss and Arkansas are not in the bag.

But the pollsters understand how loosely the word "beat" is used in this situation... that's why we didn't drop.
