Except for a few games in his freshman season, he has been terrible. There is absolutely no reason for him to see the field again. He is rarely where he is supposed to be, and he does not like contact. He will not get drafted at all. He does not have a position.

He's been living off the Arkansas game his entire career it's crazy

Somebody will use a Day 3 pick or take him as a UDFA. Try to make a safety out of him.

I'm NOT a football technician! Having said that, I will now PRETEND to be one. He doesn't have "the hips" to be a cover guy. He is straight line fast but not good at changing directions. He also gets baited worse than a black bass (sorry, not a fisherman either but that is a fish right?). And he can NOT tackle to save his life. And if you can't tackle when playing safety, you are worthless. I think he will be an UDFA as you mentioned.

He will then turn out to be phenomenal in the right system with great coaching.

Our #7 & #18’s this year are, both, massive disappointments.

that’s exactly why I hate that tradition now players that receive any of those numbers seem to regress or even not play and opt out

Perkins seems to be a double agent spy.

Wonder if the NBA is in on it? ??

For the second consecutive game his game stats are :
Harold Perkins Jr. logged 2 combined tackles (0 solo + 2 assists).
But, he made an interception. I am 79 years old and I could have made that interception that flopped into his lap.
The kid is as lazy and disinterested a player as I. have ever seen in an LSU uniform
LSU might as well have 10 players on the field on defense, and missing Whit makes our defense very vulnerable. Put both of them on the field at full strength and fully engaged, and the LSU is pretty darn elite this year.
I hope Perkins is a complete bust in the NFL...he deserves that for his efforts for LSU.

All coaches have been doing that to him, once they learned how to manipulate him. He is so limited at the mental game that he hurts the team.

I agree.
Perkins is going to do great in the NFL. So much talent but so much regression in this defense.

Well, let’s not go overboard. I look forward to seeing Pickett, Berry, Moore, and a few others.
At least as long as they develop with either new coaches or despite the coaches

Perkins flashed physical traits in year one and then we started asking him to think only to find out he’s dumber than rocks.

Two plays vividly stand out for me: on the now famous “he’s the worst QB spy ever” play, HP made a last second dive at Reed who simply side-stepped him like it was a non-contact drill in fall camp. Later while an A&M was fighting into the end zone the A&M player hit Perkins, Perkins didn’t hit HIM, and Perkins was sent backwards, like out of the end zone. Do we ever sample test players before a game to see if they are stoned?

When players regress that badly it’s at least 90% on coaching !
