And they lost two contributors in the secondary to LSU
They got the best player from us in McGlothern though.
Brooks has been solid for us so far, nothing special but doesnt stand out in a bad way either.
Foucha was suspended first 4 games so havent seen him at all yet.

Speaking of transfers, where is Foucha?

Idk, they probably both would have started here but I'm happy with how our guys that are here have been playing.

Thanks. Apparently academics. I was concerned he may be injured.

He didnt have to go, he just wasn't part of the alignment if you will. He had some chances to do the right things with the new staff and messed up a few times and didnt like being disciplined basically for it so he hit the portal.
While it's a very good thing to get the right guys here with the right attitude, it unfortunately will also weed out some guys who were really good players unfortunately. But to change the culture of the program you have to tell guys to either do it right or get out...just couldnt have more of the same.
Mcglothern could be the best player we lost that hit the portal ultimately. I think he's 1 and done at arkansas anyways with the year he's having.
Ricks is completely imploding upon himself so far at Bama. Didnt even play against Texas and came in when the game was out of hand against the 2 cupcakes Bama has had so far.

There’s a new sheriff in town and he wasn’t willing to fall in line. Broke the team rules multiple times and caught an attitude about it.

Ricks, yes. Laughing my arse off.
Mcglothern was a Tiger and wanted to stay a Tiger so not so much.

Where would we be if the transfers we inherited had not "defected" from their prior teams?
Posted on 9/19/22 at 11:10 am to Blutarsky
No not really. I don't pay attention to people who leave and don't care to be at LSU. I spend my time on current LSU players.

McGlothern: The Arkansas secondary is the worst in FBS giving up 353 ypg
I had no idea about this. What is going on there??
McGlothern is a really good player and has 2-3 interceptions already. I wish we could have kept him, but our secondary is playing well. I know a few guys from their secondary transferred to LSU (one is Foucha who hasn't been elgible yet). Greg Brooks Jr. played on Saturday though.

My point was just that they lost depth that knew their scheme at safety and safety is their real issue.

McGlothern is playing good. Wish he was here and got right

I see 18 fools have followed you.

they passed a huge test against the Air Raid
Absolutely not true! The air raid has a very simple defense scheme to beat it, doesn't take dudes to play that defense, it takes discipline. The 2020 game against Moo St. proved that. We had studs on defense and DBU was strong yet they beat the brakes off us because SBC thought his studs on defense could beat that offense playing man-2-man - the score proved he was wrong!
You can beat Leach's offense playing scheme, that doesn't tell you how good your players are, it just shows how disciplined they were - obviously that had to have good players also, but they don't need to be Bama or UGA's talent to beat them.

No would like to have kept mcglothern and move to safety
Posted on 9/19/22 at 12:14 pm to Blutarsky
You’re beyond crazy putting McGlothern in the same category as Bitch arse Ricks. McGlothern always showed up, performed and loved being here. The same cannot and will not be said about Ricks. Dude was a drama queen and I’m glad he decided to go.

Don't think it was his decision to leave.
It absolutely was his decision. No one forced him to make the decision to go against the grain. New staff, new rules. That's the way it is for almost all of us.
He will be better because of what happened, if he learned from it. Some of us learn the easy way, some the hard way.

It was not his intent to leave the program. The decisions he made led to him being forced to leave the program. Kelly did what he needed to do. I'm not suggesting McGlothern should have gotten any preferential treatment, or lamenting the fact he had to go. I just wish things had gone differently.

Correct. I agree with all of this.
