If we somehow do get serious penalties from the SEC or even worse, are expelled from the SEC, it would be a fricking disaster.
For Wright and Harris.
I don't think it's worth it. We have a great roster. Let's go win with these guys.

No, it’s not worth it! It’s not like LSU is fighting to get Joe Burrow or Leonard Fournette back on the team. It makes no sense to go through all of this for 2 guys that couldn’t make an NFL roster.

Two things can be true:
1) The players and LSU are right, and are being treated unfairly

2) This is objectively not worth the chaos over 2 players

This has definitely been worth it. For a lot of reasons.
When you have Reece Davis of all people challenging everyone to question what exactly defines professionalism in football, it's been worth it.

Knock on fricking wood but if a certain TE goes down you're going to gosh damn not have to ask if it was worth it to have Dae-Quan Wright on the team!

You could say the same thing about the SEC, though.
Technically, Lane wasn't doing anything wrong until last week when the league panicked and hastily passed rules that, so far, only caused more lawsuits.
The NCAA and SEC could have gotten out in front of the eligibility issue a long time ago, but they didn't, so now they've chosen this hill to salvage whatever power they have left. They started this, not LSU.

no. I don't like the consequences of being considered a pariah across college football, even if I think it is not deserved. I can't see how this can't affect future recruiting and even the possibility of losing some of the best portal guys next year and following.
I just don't see how one or two late additions can be worth the reputational abuse LSU is taking and will forever be taking.
I hope they are not rostered personally, even though I do think the players have a very good case regarding their eligibility to play a 5th year and earn money that presently the SEC rules are saying they can't. I think the players could bring a class action suit against the SEC and win big.
I hate that the publicity LSU is getting is so negative, when it should be one of the greatest times in LSU football history.....all over a couple of players.

I agree with you 100%, but it’s not worth what it will cost LSU, somehow before the season is over, it will cost us.

Yes. And even more so after the SEC filed suit yesterday.
frick them. We’ve put up with this bullshite from our conference “leadership” for far too long. And as a founding member no less… to be constantly picked on. To be never given protection. To always be second fiddle to the Bama’s and Georgia’s of the world. To have schools join the conference like Texas - a bona fied cancerous program - and knowing where the conference will put us when Austin influence will come in. No way man. The time is NOW.
