I 100% agree that the 2022 class should get their 5th year and that these guys aren't "Pro NFL players coming back". However, what if, somehow, when we are 11-1 heading to he SEC championship this takes a bad turn and we end up being ineligible for the playoffs? I know it shouldn't happen, but Louisiana doesn't always end up getting the best outcomes.
Is it worth all the trouble? I'd rather not play 2 players and have a clear conscience the whole year. We are set up do have an amazing year and I'd rather not have even the slightest chance of ruining it.

This is like asking if it's worth it to defend against government overreach.

Yes, I know the SEC is not a governmental entity, but the lesson is the same. If you let a governing entity arbitrarily exercise power outside their authority, they're going to keep doing it.

Is all this worth it? No

Will you be downvoted to hell and back? Yes

Personally, I don't like the idea of players that had any affiliation with the NFL coming back on college teams. I get the whole 5 for 5 rule and, legally, they are allowed. It's just a weird look to me.

I feel most of the LSU fanbase would rather this saga end already. I think you just have a loud minority in here that is rooting for LSU to risk it all.

I’m not saying I don’t understand LSU’s argument… It’s just not worth it to die on this hill

It's worth it until it's not. We aren't there yet. Media has started to soften it's attacks on LSU now that the full story is finally being told and Sankey looked like an idiot on the stand yesterday. If a court says they can play and that LSU cannot be punished for letting them play then I say go for it.

Depends on your perspective on life. If college football and winning NC's are your life, maybe not. if you watch college football for entertainment, you'd have to say this is all very entertaining!

If you asked me a couple weeks ago, I would have said no. But now, after all the bullshite and dishonesty by so many about this situation, and making it seem like LSU and Kiffin are to blame for all of this, while ignoring the other teams doing the same thing and not holding the NCAA accountable...nah. frick the haters. They are going to keep coming at LSU for other bullshite again and again. I'm all for telling them to kick rocks. LSU did nothing wrong here. And if they did, then at least be consistent.

Do I like these players coming back? No.

Do I think this is selective outrage? Yes.

Does the SEC need to abide by the TROs: Yes. They are not above the law.
