Is 9-3/8-4 good enough for year 3 of BK?

I would say no. Yes you had a big mess to clean up but 3 years in most if not all excuses are out the window. 8 or 9 wins is not good enough but seems like that’s where most are predicting. Lots of local and national people sounding down on LSU this year.

8-4 no. 9-3 and a bowl win would be normal

Playoffs or bust. If the defense is just average, that should be attainable.

As long as we stay above 6-6, then he’s doing fine. I don’t want to return to the Les or Orgeron days. LSU should be the best 7-5 team every year.

Any more than 2 losses is a bad year for a stable program.

Good enough? No, but he’s not getting fired for missing the playoffs.

Hoping for 10-2 & playoff berth this year, but all hope is not lost if they don’t meet that. Future looks bright especially with upcoming signing class

8-4 I’d be pretty pissed. 9-3 would be fine but still disappointing imo.

I’m not saying he should be fired if we go 9-3 but it would be frustrating for that to be the record for an 3rd straight year and it would be more than fair to ask questions.

Normal isn’t good enough. CBK is being paid elite money. He needs to deliver an elite team

Both of those records are never good enough. We should never lower our standards at LSU. However, the regular season goal is to make the playoffs. It’s a whole new season once the playoffs start, everyone is 0-0.

No

Would be on the hot seat in 2025 after a failure like that

For some reason many on this board don’t understand that.

I know BK leaving for a much better program still stings…but you can still fire up the “Rudy” DVD whenever you want to

This.

If this happens last year, LSU is battling for a national championship.

does Iowa go 9-3 playing in the SEC? If so yes. If not, why make that comparison?

I go with the mindset every year record is important but also how did we lose for me to really negatively judge.

We have a new qb, senior OL, should be good at RB, have a new WR crew only one guy that played significantly, should have a great TE but all the reserves are question marks with tons of port. On defense the entire system is a rebuild/reset with new coaches injecting better concepts and scheme.

Now 9-3 with say a OT loss to say bama, a loss to USC say missed field goal as time expired to lose by 2 points, and then say an absolute shoot out loss to ole piss would give me hope and understanding we could very easily have won those 3 games with an extra 10 seconds or having one of our guys hold onto the ball in crunch time..

It’s not ideal, but losing these ways are much different then say getting spanked by bama, ole piss, and aTm.

No excuse for that and seat will be on fire. And I expect recruiting to take a absolute massive hit if this year we are just outmatched and out coached..

Also makes me worried if Sloan and Davis get the big call to Move up or we are not able to retain them after this year.

Because at the end of the day, going 9-3 and missing the playoff every year is the same result no matter what conference you are in. You end of playing in a meaningless bowl game that no one cares about.
