I would definitely have a backup plan in place. I am scheduled to fly out Thursday morning, but if it appears we will be affected, we are going to leave Wednesday evening and drive.

I've also seen some people say they would try to get there flight moved to Houston or North Louisiana and fly from there.

It is definitely something to monitor but not too worried yet. I fly out on Wednesday morning from New Orleans. That being said...

I don't think it's gonna affect us. If it does make it into the gulf I think it's gonna turn upwards- around bama/florida. Just my opinion though.

I'm no meteorologist, but my cousins, girlfriends, sisters, friend has a dog.. And that dogs brother is the dog of a meteorologist. He told me we are fricked and should prepare to make other plans getting out of Louisiana.

OK... I'm kidding about all that, but in all seriousness. PJ said the storm was heading to Florida and we had nothing to worry about. Which means we are taking a direct hit, while Floridians sip cosmos on the beach.

There's a 60% chance this discussion will deteriorate in the afternoon.
