As much as I hate to admit it, I was thinking the same thing that McElroy points out here. It looked to me like Fournette passed up several opportunities to hit openings in the defense. I don't know if it would've resulted in the long TD run that he believes would've happened. But there were more yards available for him if he'd run with a little less "anxious-ness". He's still the best RB in the nation, and unlike what Skip Bayless said yesterday, I believe he will be better than Ezekiel Elliot in the pros.

Agreed. Sometimes the emotion of the Bama game and the desire to do too much to make a huge impact can lead a person to make bad decisions. Fournette is human after all, but no doubt this game wasn't his best and hopefully he'll learn from it.

Not in Cleveland. I hope a team with good OL trades up to get LF7.

After watching replays, he definitely missed openings, nothing big, but could have gotten 4-5 yds. I thought Guice did way better getting the most out of his carries.

Fournette taking losses hurt the offense big time.

I'm not the one playing but I was thinking the same things on those two plays as well.

I am really looking hard at how LF goes down when hit early. He does not break many tackles early in his runs no matter if it is a safety, corner, lb or lineman.

I watched the game with a high school football coach as he was saying the same thing..

Love Fournette, but we should have used Guice more. The middle wasn't opening up and Guice's running style might have been better suited for the bama defense.

Love coach O too, but we had no branch plans if our typical hey diddle diddle, Fournette up the middle didn't work. 2 weeks to prepare. I'm still pulling for him, but he blew a big part of the interview.

I almost wish Guice had gotten more playing time because he tends to see the holes better.

LF has the tendency to linger instead of take the hand-off and hit the spot the play is designed to open up. Even if its a tight hole, you still need to hit it full speed and pick up the 2-3 yards. This will wear them out as well as not result in a loss.

I thought LF had a terrible game against Bama. You can't expect the o-line to create huge lanes against a stellar team like Bama. Take what you get and stop looking for the homerun every down.

I wanted to see more of Guice as I was getting frustrated with LF's pauses.

Totally agree. In years past, a Hester, Scott or Hill would have consistently hit those holes helping wear down their D.

Play #1, I will agree with McElroy.

Play #2 - the ref definitely blocked LF's path. But, that's what SEC refs do in that situation, right??

U can't break outside on bama. LF knows that. He just panicked some. He had at least two runs that would've went for 30-40+ maybe to the house. It was obvious to me that Guice was a little more settled and was seeing cutback lanes. Bad job by the staff not seeing that and goin to Guice more

Someone lied to LF and told him he could outrun that d to the edge..

You CANNOT be considered a top back and miss gaping holes constantly.

I do believe the qb can help thru an audible away from the loaded side...but those were not hard cuts AT ALL

anyone can pull one or two plays from any back and show a missed hole. its careless journalism.
what about the other times where he made the right read. the entire 2 minute piece was constructed on 2 snaps. on those instances, sure, he missed the read. why do you think the segment was so short being only two plays long?. Hmmm....

LF7 is a beast. Nobody played a good game on offense. but the media loves building someone up to later bring them down.

I hope LF goes apeshit on the pigs
