Found it interesting that his personal dr had to ask about laser treatment instead of LSUs staff.
quote:

Henry’s doctor asked if LSU had the laser device.

Additionally, this comment is a bit concerning:

quote:

Henry's father had rewatched games and noticed his son’s mechanics had slipped, he suspected because of fatigue. Henry’s arm was lagging, putting pressure on the elbow.

Glad to know even a kid’s dad has a better eye for injuries than our pitching coach and training staff

To be fair his dad has watched his son pitch for 10+ years...him and only him.

his dad was a minor league pitcher. He did train him to in how to pitch. There was an article on that a while back. It would seem like his dad would also watch the videos after each start.

It goes to show how over time it is difficult to pickup small changes

I’m pretty sure we do a pitching laser analysis deal with all of our pitchers at the beginning of the year to prevent this exact thing from happening.

Someone with more knowledge can correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the analysis deal was brought up last time we had a string of arm problems with our pitchers

When players arrive at LSU, Couture performs a full-body screen. Using a laser protractor, Couture measures the players' joints to find an arm’s range of motion.

Not same kind that staff uses described above but LSU has 5 of these machines per OP link

quote:

The lasers operate in different classes. The higher the class, the more energy (or heat) the laser produced. LSU used a class four laser on Henry. Positioning the beam through Henry’s arm increased blood flow, healing it as the area warmed.

This may not be the best example but I like how when someone not associated with LSU says something the rant takes it as 100 percent the truth and accurate but when a coach or anyone involved with the program says anything they don’t believe it and are skeptical.

Funny how I knew the type of poster that would take the opportunity, however twisted, to take a shot at LSU coaches and staff. Never fails.

You can find that same poster in the 30+ page thread fighting over Orgeron and Canada from years ago. He will defend Orgeron's honor at every cost, and take whatever opportunity presents itself to shite on other coaches. Take nothing he says seriously.

It is very common for a dad to know more about his son's mechanics than anyone else. He's been watching his son his whole life.

Especially when that is what your dad does for a living.

He doesn't. Otherwise he would've spoke up before Henry got hurt. It's easier to go back after the fact when you know something went wrong to see the minor details that potentially caused it.

I wonder if PM and Dunn listened to Marceaux’s dad too.

The obsession that you have with me and anything I post is really strange. If I’m so insignificant and stupid, why not ignore me instead of derailing every thread I post in?

A couple thoughts here.

1) It’s really hard to prevent all injuries. You can prevent some. But even taking all of the precautionary measures, done will still happen. This year we had more than usual. I still believe it was an anomaly.

2) As for the dad goes, we are talking about him going back, after the fact, watching tape, and noticing the mechanics issues creep in. It isn’t like he watched a game and was yelling at Dunn to take his kid out because his mechanics were off.

It's what they do bro. If you aren't a groupthinker they will do their weird little bullying routine.

Kind of what I said in my reply to Pirate.
Isn’t hindsight always 20/20. Well, maybe not because we make the same stupid mistakes all the time like knowing you don’t need that last beer, but go ahead anyway. It’s only a liver, WTH!
