He’s cashed his chips in. Honestly had we won a title, he would have retired the year after. That was the last piece. He would have negotiated stepping aside for a smaller buyout and turned the program over to maybe Baker.

Too bad he made poor choices in hiring coordinators. Makes you think that Freeman was responsible for a lot of stuff in his final years at ND

SW should have been riding his arse all that time BK was jacking off. Hopefully the administration has some receipts on his dereliction of duty. That’s what a good leader would make sure of in case some BS like this ends up happening.

How is he in violation ?

If your clause says you have to fund work, and you don’t find work, you are violating the clause. The issue is it’s going to be hard to prove he doesn’t want to get hired. I’m just going to assume this will be a very long legal battle.

Penn State coming out smelling like roses due to this clause probably won’t make LSU back down

In order to lower such a huge amount, I’d assume it would be worth LSU’s time and effort to litigate it if its obvious he’s not searching in good faith.

Or Kelly could stop being a jackass and just negotiate a settlement that recognizes his mitigation duty is worth something to him.

If I’m LSU, I wouldn’t give him another offer. Would be more cost effective to litigate, let him feel that pressure and then come back to the table.

These deals don’t typically get terminated less than halfway through. They usually get settled without drama because there is less meat on the bone.

I've thought for a while that Denbrock may've been involved in some of his decisions at ND, as well. If so, once Denbrock was gone, that'd also account for some of his bad coaching decisions here.

Have him sweep the parking lots at the FB Ops building, wash the players cars, clean the bathrooms etc! That would be more than what he did as HC. He was lazy as shite and it showed weekly.
