Hate Nick Mingione? Hell, I thought it was brilliant. He is playing by the rules in the rule book. I would appreciate a coach that took advantage of the rules. Jay Johnson would have done the same thing. Early was just pissed that he got caught with his pants down and out coached.

I hate A&M more than anyone, but what a total bitch move to delay and stall and “run out the clock”.

Team Mingione on this one. A&M acting all surprised at UK stalling when they're 30 seconds away from a guaranteed win. Anyone would do it. And if you're not doing it, you're in the wrong line of work.

I certainly wouldn’t. Baseball is gamey as shite, but I put gaming baseball rules to win a baseball game in a different category than gaming student athlete rules to win a baseball game. The rules are there to protect the kids, not to artificially shorten games. Reminds me of when QBs would fake a slide or fake going out of bounds. It only works because rules were put in place to protect their health, and taking advantage of that feels fundamentally different than just picking at a loophole in the rules of the game.

Earley has a lot more things to worry about than that. Dude took preseason #1 and turned it into a dumpster fire. I actually like Nick…but you have to hear and watch what he says and does off the field.
