I had a bad feeling that day. I don't know why but I just did. Sure enough we lost and that night was filled with drama from stupid bitches and friends who didn't know when to stop drinking. Easily one of the shittiest parties I ever went to in college.

Are you seriously trying to compare this team to that one?
+1

That was a very talented team as well, but the difference is depth.

2011 Tigers are as well rested as any team in the nation because of depth. Only spot I worry may wear down is OL.

I was there and didnt know that one of our starting corners got hurt in warmups.

They toasted the new guy early and often that game, then Russell got hurt in the second half.

We never recovered.

i was a bad fan and sold my SECCG fix in 05. Having seen the near loss to Arkansas it was obvious that we were spent.
I didn't expect it to be that bad because Georgia wasn't really that good. (They got embarrassed by WVU a month later)
Jesse Daniels was out and Richt immediately picked on Steltz with deep throws.
A month later, with fresh legs, LSU skulled dragged a pretty good Miami team.

2 very different seasons and the two teams on the field are similar only in the jerseys they wore.

then we beat down Miami in the peach bowl. #5 in the nation...and in the peach bowl

Yeah, I was there for that one. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. I went into the game with a kind of "Ole Miss" mentality thinking I just hope we cover the spread. Yeah, I totally suck I know.

whats the point? we were spent as a team. we went 11-1 in the regular season, 12 strait games. not only were we down, but jmarc gets hurt and flynn throws pic 6 on his firts series, cant renember if it was 1st play or not.

lets look at the big east or big 12 this year. they are finishing up their season this weekend. that means these schools got to bye weeks before their last game of the year. in 05 lsu didnt have one.

Yeah, that was Les's first season and I think the 2005 Tigers were one of the best teams talent wise. Lot's of bad shite happened that year too like hurricanes and Aaron Brooks in Tiger Stadium. Not to mention a miracle come from behind win by Tennessee (officially the first time I had doubts about Miles). Still an absolutely SICK roster...check it out!

we should have been undefeated if it wasn't for UT coming back in the end and winning in overtime

sad thing is, LSU would have been shut out of the BCSNCG had they been undefeated.

USC and UT were 1 and 2 all season.

I do want revenge. That experience was horrible. A drunk GA fan knocked my fiancee over and I nearly kicked the shite out of him (no e-thuggin). Then the football team commenced to beating the Tigers about the head and shoulders for 4 quarters. Had a great time in ATL after that, but the game sucked.

They were a 2 point favorite by game time. I thought it'd be close, but it was clear the team was wearing down faster and faster every week.

I agree.

I heard rumors all that week that Moffit was having to take it easy on the players lifting due to them just being physically worn out.
Looking back on it, what that team accomplished was amazing having to fight through the hurricane, new coaching staff, and playing 11 weeks straight. Very underrated tiger team.

I neve really have bought into the whole exhausted thing. I realize these guys had played 10 games is a row and it probably had something to do with it. But we made a lot of mistakes in that game that had nothing to do with fatigue. That kind of thing would have showed up in the second half. Georgia came right out whipping our arse in the air and on special teams.
