Now, we're changing offenses once again to some form of the West Coast. Well, to run a West Coast passing game, you have to be able to make pre-snap reads. We don't have a QB on the fricking roster who is capable of doing such.

You are not wrong.

There's a 99% chance Brennan will be under center against Miami. But LSU can't afford to name a starter right now and have others transfer out.

Why do people think that not declaring a starter will prevent whoever from transferring when a starter is named? Either way they'll have to sit out a season.

no it isn't. you have 4 downs to make a first and the last thing I want is a QB that feels he HAS TO make a play every time something goes awry. sometimes it is much better to throw the ball away and get it the next down.

you sound like you have an agenda.

Brennan isn’t a statue. Where do you even begin to think this? I thought he’s mobile enough.

Jesus Christ dude! He was a true freshman that wasn't an early enrollee. Were you expecting him to unseat a 5th year senior? QB play is NOT all about making plays when things break down. it's about preparation, leadership, decision-making, accuracy and execution. STFU.

You can’t tell People like that nothin. They know it all. Find me a school without there 2017 season starting quarterback. I guarantee everyone of those teams would tell you the same thing during spring practice
. I may be wrong, but I doubt it

Justin McMillan is on pace to graduate this spring. Therefore, if he graduates, he can transfer and be eligible immediately. The same as Brandon Harris did last year.

I didn't know we had so many professional talent evaluators here. You got him all figured out from watching him attempt 24 passes as a true freshman. You are good, we are blessed you grace us with your expert opinion.

Bless your heart.

“We are having a QB Competition”
Interpretation: We have our QB we don’t want the back ups to leave at the end of spring

Evidence: 2nd Scrimmage
Brennan 12/16 224 y 2 TD
JM 7/15 169 1 TD
LN 6/14 38 Y

Recruiting LSU is actively recruiting the top 6 Pro Style QB for next year. That says all you need to know about the direction Offense

I agree with some of the points the OP mentioned. All QBs are unproven on the roster. O and E don't inspire confidence at their respective coaching positions. I would add the skill group on offense hasn't proven anything on a FB field except Giles and that wasn't on LSU's team.

However, the OP lost me on an improving SEC. Five teams have new staffs and four for a good reason. Mizzou, Vandy, UK, USC, and the Bears don't exactly strike fear in anyone. That leaves LSU and State and the best three from last year.
