So 14 years since back to back successful seasons.

Says something about how inconsistent LSU’s program has been, but it also says Wade is a good coach.

28-8 in the SEC past 2 years. 36-18 in league for his career.

It’s funny that we beat a bad team with nothing to play for and the WW pumpers come on here beating their chests.

Did the OP offend you? Wade is not a perfect coach and has his limitations, but he is doing a great job at LSU so far and with the W today, LSU finished 2nd in the SEC after winning it last year in impressive fashion. That's pretty damn good.

. Jealous suck off for another LSU coach. It is so obvious to me that people on here love CPM, O or WW. Without question CWW has the highest ceiling of the 3 bc of his age. Nothing wrong with CPM and O bc both won one. CWW has the potential to be Sabanesque. That’s what he is at the right program.

Go look at 1978-1993 for evidence of consistency.

Almost. Some of the baseball posters on the More Sports board shouldn't be allowed to turn on a computer or phone.

He's a good coach. LSU is lucky to have him.

We aren't tied with auburn dude. They beat us head to head and hold the tie breaker over us. So, they're legitimately second place and we are third, which is good too. Everyone that watched that Auburn game knows that LSU should have beaten them at their home court and had the game won, but auburn pulled a bullshite miracle to come back and win in overtime.

For instance and explaining/proving what I'm saying about us and Auburn ...in the upcoming sec basketball tournament, Auburn will be the two seed and LSU will be the three seed.

Actually I just looked at it has been longer than 14 years. In the 2005 season we finished 2nd in the west not 2nd overall. We were either 3rd or 4th overall. Also looking back that made me think of that 2005 SEC tournament semifinal against Kentucky that we lost by 1. That game was brutal. Was super close till the very end and big baby missed the front end of a 1 and 1 which opened the door for that dude to make a bucket in the closing seconds I can’t remember his name but he was a undersized post for them that was really good and seemed to be there forever. Bass ended up getting a last second look at about the 3pt line but it didn’t go. Brutal loss.

We are absolutely tied for 2nd place and to say different is beyond stupid. Do you not realize how this works? Tiebreakers are only for seeding purposes. They have nothing to do with you regular season finish. The record books will say LSU SEC 2nd place finish 2020. Just like Tennessee and Auburn were co-champs a couple of years ago but guess what, one of them had to be the 1 seed so tiebreakers were used.

Can't wait until next season with that recruiting class we have coming in and the players we should have returning. In all honesty, watford needs to come back, but I think he's gone along with Taylor and Mays. Other than them, we should have everybody back. Smart isn't going to enter the draft, that would be beyond stupid for him to do this offseason. We should be very good again next season and make the tourney again. Then, thats when you really start to get noticed by recruits due to the sustained success of your program. It also helps that we are putting players into the league as well. Will Wade is going to build a monster here at LSU. I have no doubt about that. They comin' as well baby.

Yep and this years 2nd place finish (not 3rd) will continue the momentum.

You’re exactly right. Both Auburn and LSU finished the regular season with a 12-6 conference record which was good enough to be the best conference record after UK.

Auburn holds the 2 seed in the SEC Tournament over LSU because they won the head-2-head matchup just like you alluded to.

I’m not sure why the other poster thinks otherwise, I’m guessing he just didn’t understand how the conference record keeping places the teams.

WW did a great job w the talent he had.
Some of the shortcomings were his own.
From a very good coach to a great coach, there is a lot of room and a lot to be said. It is a story that only time can write.

I do not put a coach on a pedestal simply because he does the he is expected to do when paid a very solid salary.
