make sure the chances of an SEC team winning the championship are as low as possible. They and many ADs, NCAA school presidents are tired of the SEC dominance.

They (CFP) are hoping for a UGA upset of LSU. They think UGA is the weaker of the two - and would not necessarily win out.

Why else drop Bama 7 spots this week, and drop LSU 1 spot last week?

If LSU is to win Sat., the CFP Committee wants them to have the hardest possible road to the championship game -

In their minds, LSU loses, means UGA plays Clemson and probably loses...

Oregon/Utah or OU gets in and plays OSU.

OSU beats Clemson in the Dome —- and the Big 10 hoists the trophy.

I’m telling ya’ - they want OSU to have the easiest track.

I couldn't agree with you more. I call it the bullshite CFP committee and its executive director spokesman is nothing but a damn spin doctor.

I really don’t care because neither Clemson nor Ohio State have played the consistent competition that LSU has.

Clemson’s DL is no better than Auburn or GA so if our OL handles them then I like our backfield against Clemson’s offense more so than I do Clemson’s against our WRs. Same goes for Ohio State. I think our WRs, TE and RB combo is better than OS or Clemson. I like our newly inspired defense better against their QBs and offense as a whole.

I think this is our year and not much is going to stop us if we can go into the Georgia Dome and put up 40 on the dogs basically at home. We going to see what happens but if we do that then I think we pass Ohio for #1 anyway and we end up getting to play the 4 seed. I’m ready for Saturday! Go Tigers!

Rankings should not be done by ADs who have vested interests.

I totally agree with your post...

My point is....WHAT IF for some un Godly reason LSU doesn’t win Sat.

There are possible things (injuries, very bad officiating, or just a poor outing). It could happen.

If so, and thoroughly pray it won’t - but if so, the CFP Committee WILL screw LSU.

And I agree with you that it’s all a popularity contest but what can you do but win?

What if the committee thinks LSU has the better shot to beat Clemson ant believe the GA vs LSU game will be close so they can keep the top 3 as is and Ohio State has a better shot to make the championship game playing LSU who they think has the better shot to beat Clemson.

Maybe they really do want to see Ohio State play LSU and The Burrow Story can end the way it was always going to, him beating the school that let him go? I mean who knows.

I do think it was compete BS to drop LSU to begin with and how all these big 10 teams would probably get their butts kicked against the SECs top 5 teams so having them ranked so high simply boosts their schedule strength. Dropping Bama so far with a close loss but Michigan hardly moves when they get skull drug. It’s all BS. The Tigers just have to fight like hell like always!

How many times have people said Bama can lose and still make the playoffs, etc... committee has bias towards Bama, etc..

They now have something to point at showing where they dropped them 7 spots, so no bias.. They could also hurt the rest of the SEC...

With their schedule and results... They made their own bed in my opinion. I personally feel that ranking is probably close to where it should be. They shouldn’t have been at 5 with their crap schedule and no good wins.

We will have toughest road to the championship by far, Georgia, Clemson and Ohio State in a row after beating Bama, Florida and Auburn and Texas on the road when they were playing well.

I think the gap separating tOSU and LSU is razor thin.

The committee has made their own bed, like you said with this.

Is tOSU a good team? Absolutely. But they don't have the marquee wins. Granted, us beating Bama doesn't look as good now, however, we played them when Tua was the QB. We also beat Auburn, who also beat Bama, which helps us with that win.

Cincinnati loses and they fall one spot? In any event, that loss hurts tOSU. They did beat Wisconsin but now they get a rematch. Wisconsin I think will play with a chip on their shoulder. They just need to stay focused and not overdo things. They can beat them.

Florida is now 9, we beat them too, which helps us.

If we aren't #1 after the UGA game, scrap the entire committee crap. They clearly have an agenda. Nobody has our resume.

I'm no Bama Fan, but Bama dropping four spots behind Wiscy is a joke. Bama would be a 2 1/2 TD favorite over Wiscy.

Meanwhile, UofM laid a turd against OSU. Harbaugh's squad got blown out in a mistake riddled, poorly played game. The CFP dropped them one spot?

My goodness, that's bad.

The SEC hasn’t dominated the CFP. It was Alabama. I know UGA was in it once, but they didn’t win it.

This is all orchestrated, like the NFL, to maximize revenue. Once we accept that, it’s easy to see SEC (Bama) fatigue with teams representing smaller markets start out with a steeper hill. Add in, as others have said, the desire for a Burrow/LSU final vs OSU and the fact that they think we’ve got a much better chance to beat Clemson, and we are doomed to this gerrymandered bracket. They really exposed themselves this week, not at #1&2, but with the great lengths they went to with manipulating all the other teams to prop up OSU and discredit us.

Politics will always take over whenever you have a committee making a decision like this. Everybody should have see this coming from day one.

I would much prefer a BCS style poll that did it objectively.

It’s worse than just dropping Bama. Wis. Moves 4 spots and jumps FL (puts big 10 ahead of Sec team). They didn’t given Auburn the love buy keeping them out of the top 10 and put Bama loosing 7 spots at 12 (also out of the top 10).

Mich lost in a bad showing and falls 1?
Cin. Lost and falls 1?

They are stacking Big 10 schools to have a stronger SOS for OH and discrediting SEC schools to hurt LSU.

I truly believe even if LSU beats GA they aren’t goin to let the the Tigers back into #1 spot.
Clemson is a great game planning team so whomever plays them first is gonna have their hands full with the time difference between playing the semi-final game and the championship! The committee got criticized last week on tv for trying to rig it when they put OH State at #1 when they did.

If (When) we beat GA than we will have to play #4, Then #3, Then #1 to win the championship WHICH IS RIDICULOUS! O better get on tv and complain and like all the other coaches do by politician and say it ain’t right if they don’t bump us to #1 after beating #4!

I'm not buying any conspiracy theories right now. However, if LSU has a convincing win by 2 TDs or more over UGA and they keep them #2, then I will buy in.

There is no way LSU stays at #2 if they beat UGA by more then 2 TDs. I dont' care if OSU throttles Wisconsin, the whole country knows who will win that game.
