Not necessarily. I just recognize he’s not the kind of guy who can build a sustainable program. He botched the offseason hires, he’s lost his locker room... we’re in a bad way right now

All of that may be true. Or none of it is true. There is no way to know right now.

There are too many variables going on with the amount of players we lost, no off season, new coaches, etc.

I'll be surprised if there are any substantial assistant coaching changes.

It's not just those 2 fricking hires.

Hirininf Canada then promoting E are both equally terrible.

O said he would hire the best fricking coordinators. And he has failed at that

It’s never as bad as you think but never as good either. One thing is certain, LSU as a program needs to make a change. Stop promoting the get in and get out, fast track to the league model. It is not sustainable and leads to opt-outs, a me first attitude, and a lack of long term team building. Instead, LSU as a program needs to take the family and commitment angle. That’s what makes Alabama and Clemson so good every year. They convince guys to stay committed to the team for a greater cause, not to treat all of college like an NFL training camp. Nothing will change until you address this culture issue.

We’re going to end the season with 60-65 scholarships and I’d imagine we lose 7-10 players. We’re going to have trouble cracking 80 roster spots next year. No wonder the school was willing to reduce scholarships for next two years.

that's bull shite and you know it. Orgeron went out and got the people he needed to win a Championship.people move on to other jobs. it happens everyday. Ryan Clark came into the picture and poisoned the locker room with his racist bull shite. people have different political views. if the players can't handle Coach O liking Trump, well then they have a problem. they came here to play football for LSU. not for political reasons. if they can't handle it then just leave. someone else will be there to take there place.

The only thing O should have ever said about Trump was “Thank you Mr. President.” He should never have gone on Fox News or 60 Minutes to stoke his ego. If I was AD at LSU I would make it a campus wide rule to ban all political statements across all athletics programs.

I agree with this, but it's hard to change culture and it takes time. That was the culture Les Miles built. Dabo and Saban have both been head coaches at their respective schools for 12+ years each.

And the left would have a field day with you and people like Ryan Clark would be hurting the university more than they already are.

People act like Smith and Waddle came back for any reason other than increasing their draft stock.

Realistically they’re better at getting their players to make good decisions.

O will always be kind of rough around the edges when it comes to the media. The exposure is nice but someone at LSU, maybe Derek’s fat arse, should’ve reigned all that in as everything in the world started to pop off. Saying most of the team had covid was dumb. Letting sandra smith bait him into a pro-trump statement was naive. Yes its unfortunate that saying you love the president can rub so many people the wrong way but when you lead a team of mostly young black men you have to be aware of those things. That’s where Chaisson wasn’t wrong when he said “coach O just doesn’t get it. He’s a football guy”

I have never seen politics divide people this much. Yall need to understand that these young men are 18-22 year olds. Do you have the same political views today as you did at that age?

Like everyone else, a lot of these guys don't really know all the details.

Police brutality for example. Someone tells them "we are going protest police brutality. There was another situation in which the police beat a black man". Based on that, of course they think its worth protesting for and they see anyone who is against it as someone who is okay with police beating black men for no reason.

There are some who are probably well aware of what is going on, but I doubt they all are on twitter following all the news sites and being aware of everything that is going on all the time.

The people who are against it sees it one way. And they here that the team did something in protest for something, they lose their fricking mind because its something they are completely against and that results in idiots like you who post stupid shite.

And in today's climate, its so easy to twist a story to use against someone. So everyone just needs to chill. And if people have a different political opinion than you, there is nothing wrong with that, you don't have to hate them for it.

At the end of the day, its all about being a LSU Tiger. Stop listening to the bullshite.. And bullshite is anything that you can't confirm. Geaux Tigers.

See, I was going to say I would make exceptions for certain events but then you’d rip me for “caving to the Marxist mob” or some shite like that. So it’s a no win situation for the rant

Saban knows how to play the game. Saban and O most likely have identical political beliefs. Saban just knows how to play the game. It doesn’t seem like O does. You better believe Saban and every other coach is going to use O’s trump comments against him in recruiting too.

Yeah it would take a long time. But you have to start the change at some point. I’m a procrastinator, I have put stuff off because it would take a long time to do, but then I realize it’s better to just do it, putting it off helps no one.

Canada was a Broyles finalist and considered the best OC in the country when he hired him. He fired him and hired Joe Brady immediately. How’d that work out?

Einsminger has been a success, fricking mouth breathers like you will complain about him but he’s been an above average OC easily and you could make an argument that he’s been top tier in the league.

But please post a complaint about the Auburn game to prove your point when we had a true freshman QB on the road that threw up all over himself.

But again - who would you hire? Who would calm down your bitching outside of urban Meyer?
