I’m still pissed about that poor arse tackling in Richardson’s 81 yard TD run

That was poor attempt tackling that gave Florida life after being up 42-21.

It looked like a scripted scene in a football movie.

Its simple really. You had DB’s trying to strip the ball from a 230 pound plus guy. They needed everything they had to tackle him at all and were going for the ball instead. And yes …………it was foolish to do so.

If the ref calls the obvious holing on the left side of the OL, nothing after that even matters.

Well we had a missed holding on the play that should’ve negated it. If that play was against Bama, it’s 100% getting called back

Kinda but Baskerville just shoved him lightly in the back. Very pathetic all around.

Yep if not for the missed holding call the game likely never gets close.

Refs sucked last night. Tried to take the game over at the end.

BK addressed that after the game. You just have to get a guy like that on the ground and forget about stripping the ball.

True, but you can never rely on refs and we had so many opportunities to bring him down, but gave half-assed effort. LSU needs to get back to tackling like they did against MSU and NM St. pronto. The teams we are about to play have RBs that can house it easily if we don't tackle better.

Richardson breaks one like that in almost every game.

6'4" 240# runs about a 4.6 forty.

He is a load to tackle in the open field.

We contained him pretty well IMHO

I don't understand why. You're up 3 TDs, you aren't desperate to cause a turnover. When Beastquake happened the Saints needed a turnover so I could kind of excuse that play because they were trying to get the ball back. But in this situation, just tackle the guy and get to the next play

You are exactly right. Quit trying to strip ball and tackle him.
