With all the deep talent we have at WR why is a Freshmen TE getting the most targets!!! A freshman TE who continues to miss blocks and drop passes and getting penalties! Why is he on the field so much. No excuse! He had 3 drops already early in the 2nd quarter. Two of which were 1st downs! Get him off the field. He had more drops than Boutte had Targets wtf! There is only 1 football. We have too much talent on this team to be wasting targets in this kid. Yes he will be a great player one day. But even when he catches the ball it's for 3 or 4 or 5 yards. Pathetic. Meanwhile Bech is on the sidelines. They need to figure something out because this is nonsense. Bech could have made some of thos catches without a doubt and turned them up field. Furthermore those Early drops Mason had could have been the catalyst of Jayden's slow start. JD isn't the best but if Mason doesn't drop those early balls that could have extended drives then Jayden could have been in a better rhythm and we not fall in a 17-0 hole. Too much WR talent to go 4 or 5 wide and throw to a freshman TE! Change up the scheme and get Jack or Jaray out there. Just like on the online you wunna have your Best 5 on the field right???? Mason Taylor is NOT a top4 Recieving threat on this roster. He should be a situational player right now.

Bc the qb will not throw the ball to a wr who is remotely around a defender.

He will not throw anyone open.

He will not put it up to give our player a chance to make a play.

I agree. Bech needs to olay he has great hand and is a mismatch nightmare inside. Put him at h back or te and throw to him. Put boutte in slot rotate him and nabors. Short quick routes and designed runs for Daniels. Play to his strengths. The short game will open up over the top. Quit putting him in bad positions waiting for plays to develop.

First off he is the best TE we have. We are starting two true freshman at the tackle positions. Our running game is average and needs the TE to block and chip. JD is using him as a check down because he is scared to pull the trigger on throws over 8 yards. That’s why he is in there. There will always be a TE on the field in BKs offense. If we had another TE that could play there would be 2 TEs on the field 1/3 of the time. We are what we are at this point.

Yup. But you're dealing with a team that has Denbrock running the scheme. Keep in mind he had Kole Taylor in 2 TE sets half the season so far before BK probably made him change it. He's obsessed with TEs and doesn't adjust his scheme according to roster strengths. Anyone defending him as anything but another Crowton or Cam Cameron is beyond ignorant. He's force a square peg in round hole type of OC just like Crowton/Cameron. He's one of the highest paid OCs in the country with no creativity. He looks good when he has a good QB but then gets exposed when he doesn't because he has zero clue how to adjust scheme to player personnel strengths like a Kiffin.

He deserves every criticism he gets as does BK. This is still a big part of BK's philosophy and he also wanted his BBQ buddy here. This is absolutely a repeat of Les Miles right now. We're not paying this guy 10 million a year to see a repeat of Les Miles football on offense.

As for Mason, I think he's going to be a really good player in a year or 2. It's not his fault they're trying to force it to him. You can see he's extremely fluid when he moves though so he's going to be a star at some point. It's not his fault this roster has 0 TEs.

Daniels doesn't have any passing strengths. He can't hit short, medium or long passes.

Denbrock is really bad. Anyone still defending him has no idea what they’re watching

You have to show it so teams prepare for it. If they don't see it on film, they wouldn't spend practice time preparing for it.

The kid is a true freshman playing in his first SEC road game in a hostile environment. Maybe you can cut him a little slack? I remember when Joe Burrow was 11-24 for a 140 yards and LSU was 3-16 on 3rd down conversions against Miami in his debut. It worked out pretty well for us.

This is what drives me crazy - not adapting to the personnel. If you want to go recruit a bunch of elite TEs, fine, but in the mean time competent coaches would realize this team needs to be primarily 4WR.

I recall he was doing his job and lead receivers with 4 catches.
Your beef is with WRs that can't catch a cold.

I will inform Brian Kelly, the coach who is likely a blocked extra point from being undefeated and ranked in the top 10.

Our wr are not catching the ball any better. It was frustrating as hell watching the ball hit them in the hands only for them to drop it. Just shite effort on their behalf.

If someone had told me immediately after the bowl game that LSU would be 4-1 and 2-0 on the SEC, and that fans would be calling Kelly “Les Miles 2.0”… well actually I guess I wouldn’t be that surprised at all.
