I’m guessing lawyers are advising him. Who knows? Seems as if he’d have a statement. Thoughts?

Why does he or anyone else need to talk?

Just ride it out until the hearing. Let the chips fall as they may.

The SEC has nothing and will end with nothing

Why speak? It’s better to keep letting Sankey and the SEC speak. They look like petulant children here. LSU didn’t break rules and didn’t roster players. What is there to say. If a vote to out LSU happens there is nothing the president can say to avoid that so better to just take legal action afterwards.

LSU literally has the 3rd most powerful man in the country on their side. Rousse doesn’t need to say anything right now

No. It is the smart move. Especially if LSU has any evidence of collusion, real selective enforcement etc.

I’m gonna play white devil’s advocate here to response to the “If you’re Sankey the only reason you go through with this is if you know you have the votes.” crowd and say the only reason you’re silent is because you know this all bullshite and you have the votes or possibly a trump card.

Guess we’ll see.

It serves zero purpose to say anything aside from feeding the bullcrap 24 hr media cycle that has been clamoring for Kiffin or anyone higher at LSU to respond to this farce.

My worry is, there must be something to it or Stanley wouldn’t have called the special meeting.
I can’t believe he’s ignorant enough to ask the schools to vote and NOT know how it’ll come out, does that make sense?

He just issued a statement on Friday. Might be preparing another with all of this.

It’s more about scaring LSU into bending the knee instead of actually kicking them out.

If they actually did, the pending lawsuits would bury the SEC for a while. They don’t want that.

But they are hoping LSU just says “ok guys we’re sorry. We’ll take whatever punishment you see fit”

LSU has said all along it will continue to follow court orders and SEC guidelines.

Rousse issued a statement Friday .

No need to say a word

They’re going to vote LSU out. Sankey is pissed because LSU made him look like an absolute incompetent imbecile. He has the votes but it’s a show vote to scare LSU. It won’t go anywhere. LSU would sue them into oblivion and win.

I believe he has the votes saying the SEC can vote to remove a member if they want to. They are not voting to remove LSU as a member, and extremely doubtful that they would vote to do that or have the votes for that. These are two different things.

And both set a dangerous precedent.

If LSU isn’t exploring an option leave the SEC for another conference right at this very moment, I’d be surprised.

This is beyond rational behavior.
