You want your best pitcher going against the better teams. I really don’t understand how that concept is so hard to grasp for some people.

You folks will still claim victory if LSU sweeps this thing.

Regardless if it works or not it isn’t the right call.

Then why are we even paying coaches?

Objectively looking at game 1, skenes was your best option

And he pitched and we won.

Uhhhh that’s false. He pitched already.

You can't read.

I have stated many times, including in this thread, that I would have pitched Skenes today.

But I also don't assume I know better than our very successful head coach who has more knowledge, information, and resources than I do to make the most informed decision. That's what you are doing and it continues to be hilarious every time I read the same damn thing...which has been repeated for over 24 hours now by countless posters here.

They confuse having a right to question decisions with thinking they are always right. It’s baffling, and like you said, hilarious.

I would not consider 3-0 de facto proof of the soundness of the approach.

It would seem to indicate he put his team in a great position to advance and continue our starters' normal routine.

But I guess that wouldn't be sound enough.

Do you really think that Floyd is a better matchup than Skenes? Do you think pointing to a single outcome necessarily changes a future event?

OHH SO TULANE WAS A DIFFERENT TEAM THAN WHEN LSU DRUMMED THEM!!! Thank you for making my point.

It is ALWAYS about match-ups. None of you on here has done the research that this staff has done for this ENTIRE TOURNAMENT. It ISNT ABOUT ONE GAME AS YOU STATED.

This is what happens when you decide to explain the unexplainable. You end up suggesting that the guy with the better fastball, the better slider, the better change up and the better control isn’t the better matchup.

It would indicate that his choices didn’t cost the team. If there are multiple ways to accomplish the same goal, especially when there is randomness involved, actual achievement of the goal does not tell us which way was the best.
