Do I over react, sure.
Can it be a good play, sure.
Has Paul called it at times and it worked leading to a rally, certainly.
But I just think he goes to the well too many times and as you previously mentioned, it forces hitters to swing at pitches that may be out of the zone. Paul really likes to use this when a pitcher is struggling because Paul thinks the battler is going to get a good fastball to hit with the pitcher just begging for a strike.
Also, I think a little part of it is Paul trying to put his stamp on the game and being able to pat himself on the back by “making a good call”.
Can it be a good play, sure.

Criticism is certainly not unique to LSU. However, the amount of criticism from fans of organizations as successful as LSU is is really puzzling. These coaches are some of the best and the fans act like they could do better. It really is silly...but, hey fan is short for "fanatical" for a reason.

You assume LSU is more successful than it is--lately anyway. 95% of the criticism is well warranted because fans realize how good we COULD be, but just can't quite get there.

When other school's coaches do wrong I'm sure they do.
It also depends how long they've been at the school.
Most people are right about o getting lucky.
Most are right about will wade being more of a recruiter than a coach.
Most are right about paul not doimg enough with the talent.
