Not at LSU it isn't. It's called knowing your audience. LSU has the biggest fan base in baseball, always turns a profit, and is growing every year, and most of the time we set attendance records for the entire SEC.
The same can NOT be said about basketball.
Football and Baseball for sure!

You think if the football team went 4-8 or 5-7 every year, the football fans wouldn't be "whiny and annoying" too?
It’s not what’s being said, it’s how it’s being said. The “fat Scott” “bring back the Pear” “McMen” crowd is gay and unbearable over a guy who never accomplished anything at LSU. Bunch of delusional loons

Nobody went to Auburn basketball games for the longest time either. Now look at them. If LSU basketball was a winner, the arena would be packed.
And why can’t we be competitive and successful in all three like Tennessee, Florida, Arkansas, Texas, and on?

So even in a terrible basketball year and a solid baseball year and high fan interest given post NC basketball still is big brother

Men’s basketball is the only sport besides football that makes revenue would be stupid to ignore it.
Then wtf do you call what we have been doing.
I was told earlier this season at one of the home games there wasn’t even a halftime show. No performers, no contest, no dance, no cheerleaders, nothing.

How stupid and short sighted.
If/when basketball gets rolling again, it will DWARF the interest LSU fans have in baseball.
I promise you 75% of national sports fans have no clue who won in Omaha last year, while 99% know who won football and men's basketball last.
You mouth breathers are paranoid that baseball will be relegated to it's rightful THIRD PLACE in the pecking order at LSU, just like it is at every other major school with a baseball program.
Honestly ponder this: what major school (other than LSU now) prioritizes baseball over football or basketball? Your answer is ZERO. Do ya think that might be why we are the tallest midget in the college baseball midget world? That is some Vanderbilt bullshite, and it's EMBARRASSING.
A lot of you lads refuse to believe this, but for OVER A DECADE basketball was king at LSU even over FOOTBALL when Dale was rolling, and baseball was drawing 50 fans a game AT MOST. Now to be fair, football hadn't been lifted to the expectation level it has now, because Saban had yet to arrive. But that is still a fact.

Aren't we like top 7 in NIL funding? This notion that we are broke is rather silly.

You’re just now in the era where if you swing and miss, you have to eat it and hope for the best
I don’t think LSU has given up on basketball in the sense that they just don’t care at all, but really doesn’t make financial sense to buy MM out and spin the coaching wheel again unless you have a guaranteed winner locked in ( one could argue we did but I digress)
Giving up on basketball would be insanely dumb in this era

If there ever is a group breaking away to form a super conference, football will be the heavy #1 priority with basketball coming in at #2 and baseball likely not being in contention of evaluation. Very few people give a shite about college baseball nationally to justify including it in the calculation much, if at all.

I played baseball at LSU in the 70s, you're being generous with that number

Running it back after this year is doing just that.
Other SEC programs that were in our spot a year or two ago have made changes and had immediate results.

Irrelevant
A solid basketball program dwarfs a historic baseball dynasty.
Baseball just has very low support nationally and in terms of revenue.

We have some dumb fans.
It's not dumb in this area. It's more emotional.
This is just baseball fans trying to pretend it's relevant in the big picture because of their emotional attachment to it.
You see the same emotional-irrationality with women's soccer/basketball fans.
