I’m giving Daronte Jones a chance

I get he’s not a big name & I get the melting, I really do but I’m also willing to wait and see what he does. Dude could be the next great defensive genius or he could be a total bum but I’m willing to give him a chance to prove it either way. If O botched this hes fricked so it had better work. Jones can’t be any worse than Pelini as low a bar as that is. At least there was an actual search this time. Hope O is right for his sake & the program’s

It won’t be the most popular hire but he’s coached under some pretty good defensive minds. It’s a big risk but I’m happy to see what happens.

We had a guy with lots of experience and it didn’t work out. I’ll take a hungry up and coming guy over complacent experience

That’s the way I see it and Aranda must’ve rubbed off on him somewhat since they coached in two places together. Hopefully Dave taught him how to scheme and call plays, we’ll see

What an absolute bunch of no nothing clowns we have here. Nielsen was the golden boy for us yet he never called one defensive set as a DC. Wasn't a DC till one week ago and now is not only the Saints DC but assistant head coach. Joe Brady has never been anything but a passing game coordinator and within a week after the 2019 season he is the OC at Carolina.

That’s really all we can do at this point. He’s pretty unknown. I hope for the best and want to see a good defense next year!
