re: I’m getting decently worried Nuss is going to enter the draft

If he is assured that Kelly will go strong in the portal then he may stay, if he doesn’t get assurance that they will pick up some decent offensive lineman then his best bet is probably to takeoff

I actually think if Nuss is going pro he would would have the courtesy to tell the coaches so they can plan their portal recruiting. They might be working out a new NIL deal that keeps him paid higher than whatever they have to pay in the portal. It is the world we live in now…

Has anybody heard from Nuss’s camp?

Figure BK is also not being very quick of communicating to Nuss. No proof just seems he takes his time to make decisions. Also no rush to sign up for draft.

Nuss has absolutely no shot in the NFL. None. He couldn’t even be a backup.

Beck and Mildew are not nfl guys. Ewers isn’t overly impressive.

Come on man!
Nuss’ camp is his father (QB Coach for the Philadelphia Eagles). His father is dialed in to every GM in the league. He’s busy coaching right now. But.. don’t think for a second that he’s not having conversations with GM’s and head scouts on where his son is slated in the draft.
After those conversations are complete and Nuss and his father sit down and have a serious discussion, a decision will be made and we’ll all find out.

Who are you putting above these two?

Nuss will come back and hone his craft while making more NIL $ than a rookie contract would pay him.

Nuss is likely a 2nd or 3rd round pick. It's all about the $. He is likely getting advised on the NFL numbers compared to a NIL number.

They all put their jobs on the line. And you can never tell which QBs may turn out to be good. Bo Nix wasn't particularly highly thought of, but with the right coaching, it looks like he may be pretty good. The same could happen for Nuss.

huh
he got drafted 12th overall.
He'd be a top 5 pick this year.
He is a way better pro prospect than Nuss at this point in Nuss' development.

Correct and the dude had like 70 college starts.

He is probably the third best QB prospect if he was to enter this year.

What are yall thinking?
That he needs another year to prove he can step up in the pocket consistently and not have Chris Everett happy feet even with the best pass blocking OLine in the country. Arm strength does nothing if you’re dancing all day behind anything but pristine pass blocking.

Thought this seemed obvious...but you didn't catch what I was saying. I meant if he leaves the crop of potential incoming QBs looks thin for LSU.
Sorry, misread. I thought you were saying his portal value was high due to the lack of good QBs in the portal, thus he might enter into the portal.

Not if you want to win! Granted he should be the highest paid player on LSU’s team but use the extra money to load up good players. Sacrifice to succeed. If he comes back and makes a little improvements on his reads and they put a great line in front of him. With a better run game, the sky is the limit

We should be like any other team that has a back up ready to go (See Georgia). So ridiculous that LSU is a one trick pony at QB
Bingo. Texas, Georgia AND T8&4 have excellent back up QB's. What's our problem?
Posted on 12/9/24 at 10:15 am to Phillytiger9
LSU should have some left over cash to convince Nuss to stay. The QB board for next years drafts is a complete crapshoot. The two highest rated prospects were not starters this year. Yeah Arch is gonna get the benefit of the doubt because of his name.
Main point - I don’t think the caliber of the ‘25 qb draft is going to be the deciding factor.
