LSU's method of play gives any team a chance to stay close, really. And if you give a team a chance to stay close, every once in a while they'll beat you.

I think LSU will win but it will be a nail biter and J State will make a bad mistake or two late to allow us to seal it.

I guarantee JSU believes they can beat us. That alone is dangerous.

They're a good team. They played in the FCS Championship game last season, losing to North Dakota State. Ended up with a 13-2 record. Very good QB and RB. Defense is no slouch either.

If our offense plays like it did yesterday, there's a very real possibility that we could drop that game too.

They should've beaten Auburn last year.

Good Post. This could be a trap game when there is no trap. LSU is against the wall with no wiggle room. I equate JS to App State. They have athletes that will bring their "A" game and cause problems. Again, they will crowd the line and force JH to beat them passing. The great equalizer is 8 in the box against a one dimensional team. Look how well that works in the SEC.

Their defense will stack the box to stop LF7 and Harris will only score on desperation heaves....

LSU 31 - JSU 18. It will be LSU 21 - JSU 18 going into 4th quarter

If we do lose, I think that's it for Miles. Seriously.

Until the offense has the ability to overcome a deficit with the passing game, any game is competitive.

Body language of the players looked bad during the game yesterday, I think they realize the same as we do.

Gotta love the overreaction to game 1. LSU will prob be 30 point favorites. We win something like 45-10

Thanks for the rundown. I'd ask about your defense, but then it doesn't matter. You could just put 11 folding chairs out there and they would somehow sack Harris twice and intercept him three times, so whoever you have is bound to be at least better than that.

I'll go ahead and call it now. Jacksonville State beats LSU.

How many points were we favored by in yesterday's game?

We scored 7 points offensively.

What makes you think this won't be a close game? I assure you at the least it will be close until the 4th quarter. We will see the same confused unimaginative offense that we always see. Oh I almost forgot about the not so special teams that will surely cost us a td due to a short field.

We will go against a much worse defense, we will score 30 at least. Overreaction saturday, gotta love it.

Their QB is a high percentage passer. Receivers do not drop passes. With an accurate QB and those receivers JS will stay in the game for at least 3 quarters. Solid defense (for their league) with good one on one tacklers. Both spell bad news for LSU since the medium range receivers will stay uncovered. They have a patient, ball control offense. Their defense is good, probably good enough to stop us by using 9 men in the box. I expect a LSU win, but an uncomfortable one.

I honestly think we'll need very good to stellar defensive play to win this game. their offense is much better than ours and our offense beats itself. we SHOULD out talent them in the trenches but after yesterday I make no prediction that we do. I guarantee they will follow the same game play everyone does and sell out to defend the run.

if what I saw yesterday shows up I will not be surprised if they beat us. if that happens I think our season is shot.
