Do you still consider someone slugging .400 to be a singles hitter?
It’s certainly possible. Even here at LSU we’ve seen a singles hitter slug over .500 for a season in the not too distant past.

Gio isn’t “Ok” on defense. He’s right with crews as the best defensive outfielder on the roster.

So what does that say? He’s ken Griffey Jr on a roster full of subpar OF’ers, which LSU has, yea, sure.

But he’s average enough to get beat out by a guy that isn’t a CF, too. He’s average enough to botch a few plays in RF, too.,at maybe the 7th or 8th least diffucult & important position on the field.

He isn’t “just a singles” hitter. He’s got decent power, not spectacular,

His play style is not justifiable just because he can run into one very rarely.

High Ks, decent BB% = fine if you’re a power hitter

High Ks, decent BB%, .400 career slg% = not really a thing as a guy with great speed not playing a premium position

He’s “running into one” at the same rate as often as crews and Doughty. Until you stop pretending he’s out there pooping out Texas leaguers there’s no point discussing this with you.

Let’s see, you have four weeks full of data

First two weeks: 750slg%

Last two weeks: .340slg%

Career : 400slg%

Hmmmm, I wonder which guy he is closer to. You think you uncovered the next Ryan schimpf don’t you

And I don’t think he is a scrub. He’s a perfect 4th OF type. If LSU had their normal OF talented he vert likely would not be playing every day

I’d call a guy hitting .430 an outlier in that regard. Rhymes had 85 singles out of 100 hits

This is hilarious coming from the guy who argues the exact opposite for Bianco.

You can’t even conceptualize what I’ve said about Bianco. How can you even make this claim lol

We have an argument about who should be playing RF and batting in the 8 hole. This is a good spot to be in.

A power hitting, elite fielding speed demon shouldn’t be hitting 8th, brether

It’s not really an argument. Gio is easily the best option right now, and may be all season. Beloso will need to be significantly better than he was last season to hold on to the DH spot.

Ah. I see we’re at the point you’re so wrong you’re having to put words into peoples mouths to make your stance seem less absurd.

Some things don’t really change, do they? Awesome.

Wish I would have kept track all the times you’ve said thus & regretted it. Please don’t disappear on me ok?

Beloso isn’t going to have a spot in the starting lineup unless he learns how to play OF and hits like he did as a freshman
