I can't defend the team tonight...turnovers and lack of rebounding did us in with a poor execution or lack of ANY inside post game...
I just really think the WIN now mentality is crazy in CBB...Duke will have 5-6 losses by end of the year...we catch a HUGE break in the SEC where we only play 4 ranked teams (once each) in Miss State, Auburn, Tennessee and UK (which WONT be ranked in about another week or 2.
But I agree, I would like to see the team create an identity sooner rather than later of what we are trying to do....its basketball...The Warriors have lost 9 games and the Wizards are dreadful with crazy talented players...
But I kinda wish we had shipped Johhny to Nevada and kept Mussleman lol Nevada is NO JOKE dude...1000% a Final Four team!!!

It’s not a “win now” thing.. it’s how poorly we played against Ok State, La Tech, Houston in the second half, and went into a shell against FSU at the end of the game. No killer instinct from these guys. Bad rebounding, poor coaching to not try your bigs when you’re in the bonus with 12 min left, Wade letting them do whatever offensively...

I hear ya man...tough to watch right now, tune in late on Saturday after the MTSU beat down of App State in New Orleans...
St Marys is really not very good and I think we handle them...that was not an easy place to play tonight and Ill stop with the excuses...
BUT, give this group some time...we are like that girl thats a 6 and the bar is starting to close...got some potential, she's kinda funny, nice rack etc...just gotta decide is it worth the effort this time of year...

Yea but our football team would be going for back to back national championships so no one would be complaining about how much the basketball coach makes

We can bitch about the coaching a lot, but another big thing is that we have no oncourt leader at this point. No tone setter, no heart. I feel like Javonte will be that guy, but he’s just too young. The team reminds me of that 2015 team whenever Hornsby was hurt. No oncourt leadership and no fire. It’s a bunch of type B personalities and one type A who is 10 games into his career.
I’m also praying that Tremont declares for the draft soon. Let that kid go focus on his future, cause I don’t see him getting out of this funk.

Lester, there are only about a dozen decent teams in CBB right now and that may be a stretch...I am sure you have watched some, but it is painful to watch...
I cant get to 10 to be honest, so my Elite 8 is pretty solid about now and one of them is freaking Buffalo!!!

Team is young and everyone is new playing together?
What a fricking dumbass statement when referring to present day NCAA tournament basketball!
I mean, are you talking about a sport where the teams worth following are led by one and dones?
Of course they are all “young and inexperienced”
And FTR, I forgot there was a game tonight. That’s coming from a guy who slept on sidewalks in a tent for PMAC tickets to watch Chris Jackson, Shaq, etc.
College basketball is worth following as much as an LSU bowl game.

Honestly I wouldn’t know what to do with Naz either. I think he’s just so used to being able to physically bully people that he never learned how to post up or establish post position. He’s a decent outside shooter, but he isn’t deadly. He’s just kind of okay at a lot stuff right now. I’m hoping he sees this and understands how far away he is from reaching his potential and comes back next year. He still shows flashes of a top 10 pick.

I hear you. I'm at the game Saturday and commented on this board that Will Wade has shown no ability to coach X's and O's. I got crucified and called stupid. I'm waiting for evidence that I am wrong. I sincerely hope he changes my mind in the near future.
