Cooper Williams....with someone else warm. It is possible he can go 2-3 innings, or more, if he is on. Hate to burn Evans/shores here without a known outcome of this game.

In fact, I'll be shocked if it isn't Cooper....but, it could go noot then cooper. It is dicey with a 2 run lead. I think best case Cooper comes out and give us 2-3 solid innings, and then we add a few runs.

Using Cowan would be a damn risky proposition…..I just wonder what his recent bullpen sessions have looked like?

Anyone saying Cowen doesn’t know Jay. Not a chance Jay is coming out with the current Cowen against this contact making team. Cowen is what they want to see.

Shores is most likely to be used based on current production. Cowan could be a good change following him. Hopefully we keep bashing.

I'm not saying Cowan is a good option. But in a pitchers park against a team that makes a lot of contact anyway, would it hurt Cowan much? He isn't a strikeout pitcher. Feels like it might would hurt the strikeout pitchers more. I'd personally go Williams though

Cowan is a decent option here. Even if he leaves the changeup up in the zone (which has been his issue lately), it’s likely a deep fly ball and not a HR.

Besides Evans, who is the best fielding pitcher in the bullpen in our regular rotation? Obviously not the main consideration, but Eyanson has had to make some athletic plays so far - this is their style of play.
