Try to have as long of a drawn out possession as possible. Have to limit how many possessions Bama gets in the first half. Anyone disagree?

I agree. Keeping Bama off the board for 5 minutes would be a mini-victory to build on.

agreed but bc 2nd half Devin White will be out there first series and the place will be on fire. Add jet fuel to the fire he should come out wearing #7 after half time

I disagree, sir.

Death Valley will be hostile and emotional from the get-go.

Put that defense on the field and let them punch Bama in the mouth.

Maybe we can get a false start penalty or better yet, a turnover.

I agree with the coin flip. But we can’t go changing our entire gameplan for 1 defensive player. You definitely don’t change the offensive gameplan, you score however you can.

A 12 play scoring drive and eating 7 minutes off the clock just isn’t happening against them.

Defer and play field position from the get go. See if their offense can actually move the ball on our D.

Disagree because a three and out would be deflating. Put our best unit out there. Show Bama that scoring won't be as automatic in Tiger Stadium as they are used to. The defense will set a better tone for the game.

Disagree

You have to show confidence in your defense

If we take the ball and go 3 and out because of some early game jitters and give them better field position to start your idea looks awful. And they get the ball back at half

If we win the toss it's business as usual. Kick the ball out of the end zone and force them to go the full 75 on their first drive

Defer, then onside

Honestly, if we think our defense is up for the challenge at all, defer. If they aren't, it's gonna be a long night regardless.

I'm always for deferring to the 2nd.

But for this game:

Take the ball

Let EM hang

Score first!

Crowd is even more lit!

Danielson talks about it a lot. Bama scores at the end of the half, then gets the ball back to start the 2nd and scores again. They go from up 10 to up 24 just like that on teams.

This is a terrible idea. Just score the best way possible, we have enough trouble with that.

Without our best defensive player, it’s best to get the ball, hopefully get a drive, gain some field position and pin them inside the 20 if you have to punt, all while running off some clock.

No freaking way.

Let Saban dictate the pace of the second quarter then receive the kick. No way. He has made s living scoring to go into half then putting games away getting kick in third.

Force them to go 75 yards.... you mean like they've done in less than 5 plays several times this season?

Agree with OP 100%.

Plus, send Devin out for first possession of 2nd half.

We have to stop them eventually

If we win the toss and receive that's sending a message to the defense that you don't think they can stop them

You go business as usual
