Crews. He plays every day, but you can’t go wrong with either

Nothing against Crews, but I’d draft Skenes.

Crews

Everyday players just have more team value.

And Crews is generational in his own way. But Skenes was throwing 90mph curve balls for strikes last night...

Tough choice

Those were sliders but one can be forgiven for thinking they’re curves. The bite is that sharp

How many innings does each starter in the majors avg? It’s isn’t the 80’s or 90’s anymore.

I’d take Crews. His offensive and defensive skills plugged into almost every game are hard to trade for an ace pitcher who will start about 35 games a season.

But damn it’s hard to pass on Skenes too. He is a generational pitcher.

LSU baseball is an embarrassment of riches right now and this is the most fun season we’ve had in a long time.

Pirates may trade back or pray Crews keeps sliding.
They are cheap

We have the most knowledgeable fans, don't we folks?!

He routinely goes 110+ pitches deep

This has to be a joke. The guy is still throwing 98mph strikes after 90+ pitches.

No trading of draft picks in MLB with one exception end of 1st round Competitive Balance picks that small market teams get.

The issue is he will end up throwing 90 pitches in 5 innings.

That’s right but I thought they could pick and trade the pick to avoid the salary hit for that slot?

He has only made it through the 7th in 5 out of 13 starts.

Made it to the 8th 1 time.

He throws a lot of pitches to get the strike outs but has very few quick innings.

Lol what? I've seen him hit 100 mph over 100 pitches deep.

I would take the guy that would start everyday over someone that would play 5-6 innings every 5 games.
