If you want Perkins on the field every play, he has to bulk up to 245 like Micah Parsons

Or be frustrated with him playing ILB

Or he could just do what he does best, which is what he did the entire second half of the season last year. He gave the coaches the blueprint and the coaches went on an Indiana Jones style search for other plans.

Our fans don't understand how easy it is to scheme against a LB who can only blitz. We can't always bring 5 every play, someone will be open.

Don’t forget the Georgia game

Guy can’t play edge, he is a linebacker. It’s up to the coaches to scheme him better. It’s very doable and isn’t even that hard. Devin White was causing chaos. It’s just absurd

Or just put him back on the outside.

Can we please stop comparing him to Devin White

Devin White in college 6’1” 240
Perkins 6’1” 212

correct...

if PErkins wants to be a pass rush specialist then hes got to get to 250lbs.. at 6'2 he would still be undersized... it would be best for him to learn to be another Devin White..

Devin white was superior because he was strong as a damn ox (he didnt miss tackles) and he was fast as hell... Perk needs to get to 235 first and play a true ILB, house just needs to guess right on when and where to bring him from... House did not blitz enough... he tried to rely on the DL to get pressure and they didnt.. thats a problem. and im concerned why he didnt recognize it...

If teams want to scheme around him, great. Scheming your own player out of wrecking havoc is moronic.

Teams scheme away from shut down corners, you don’t move the corner to FS bc of it.

then get out of base formation and get some exotic stuff happening where you cannot assume perkins will be on every snap! its not that difficult to move your guy around to attack from different angles/timing on a play to play basis.

or be a stubborn arse and say if he rushes at all ever, he must stay glued in place henceforth

He’s more Deion Jones who dang near got Atlanta a Super Bowl while wreaking havoc as a middle linebacker

That's why he needs to be an edge-spy full time and not a "linebacker".
