Yeah...that isn;t going to happen. Keep in mind that there is a contingient of LSU "fans" that have disliked JaMarcus Russell since day one. for many they had picked a fvorite and when he didnt see the field (despite having two separate coaching staffs make the same call) they began to take it out on the starter. For many, they have kept up this assult even though the guy is long gone now as the near daily threads attacking Russell's play with the Raiders attests to. It would be ne thing to pull against a former Tiger because he plays for an NFL team that is a rival of some NFL team that you pull for...but to OPENLY wish a former LSU player fails simply to carry on this same tired hatefest is ridiculous.
So no...you'll never get anyone to agree that Flynn's 10-2 regular season win total was not somehow more special than Russell's 11-1 in 2005 or 10-2 in 2006. and you'll never get one of them to admit that When it was all said and done, Matt Flynn had nothing to do with getting LSU into the NCG after his final pass in Tiger Stadium was picked by an Arky DB. At that point, LSU's fate for the 2007 season rest in the hands of others...and thankfully for Matt and we Tiger Fans the chips fell perfectly for LSU to take advantage of the help we had been given.
