If I went with that and it still didn't work, I'd kick myself for not sending the time machine to bring back Rohan Davey.

Could you imagine a secondary with LaRon and Reid? There would be no survivors.

Personally I would take PP7. Elite corner and return man. He could also be put in on offense, even if Les never tried it during his tenure.

Obviously he's not a player, but Jimbo at OC too.

Meh. I recall many an underperforming offense with Jimbo. Many did not miss him and even at FSU where he has plenty talent and total control his offenses regularly disappoint.

how about... Mickey Guidry? He would actually fit perfectly. Come off the bench for a couple series like he did with Hodson, and give a spark. Let Mett sit and watch, be coached up a bit, and then still be the "starter".

I think the team would benefit from having someone like that now, close enough in skills to not have to change the offense when he plays, but still not a real threat to make it a controversy when Mett comes back in.

All the folks saying Hodson -- I don't see how he brings any skill set that Mettenberger doesn't possess. Neither has any ability to move at all. And both have decent arms.

I will grant that he was a very good field general quarterback, but he was also the beneficiary of one of the best OL and receiving corps LSU has ever had, comparatively speaking.

I'm not complaining, rather making a case to how he could be useful in all three phases. Not many other players you could say that about.

The Cardinals tried it which to means it is a legit possibility.

Rightly or wrongly, what he did (or didn't do) in the NFL clouds a lot of people's views.

the obvious choice is PP7. he can help tremendiously on punt returns and ko returns. the QBs are dependent on good ol play. wr dependent on good qb play etc. upgrading one without the other might not help at all. PP7 would be instant help and upgrade at special teams.

I maintain that one could make the same argument about the sugar bowl beat down of ND.

Out of all the QB's named, Tommy Hodson was the only 4 yr starter (pretty sure, anyway) and that experience plus his athletic ability as a QB makes him my choice for the one player from the past to be running this yr's team.
