3pt defense has been one of our problems. Look at recent losses. 3 pointers were being drained at a good clip

Exactly, if we shoot our season average on free throws

LSU hasn’t shot over 70% from the line in their last 5 games.

Did you see the last three pointers they shot? Totally pulled them out their asses. Last one was almost half court.

If you want to worry about anything , worry about the way we have been shooting free throws. End of season the young legs getting tired. Not used to such a long season.

The team jacked up nearly 40 3s.

Yale doesnt like to shoot a lot of 3's, they chucked up 37 of them against us. We got them to play outside their element.

LSU has not shot well.. other than against Vandy.. for 10 or 12 games. We win by dominating the boards and going to the rim aggressively and getting to,the free throw line. The officials are taking away some of our getting to the free throw line.

Our team has also slacked off on defense in the second half and allowed people back in the game. 6 or 8 times.

We should beat Maryland any way. To beat Mich St in the next round or anyone else. We are going to,have to defend for 40 minutes and make 2 to 4 more threes per game.

That argument is so stupid. If most teams shoot 10% better in games they lost, they could "win" a lot more games. It matters what you actually do

"LSU is in trouble, because they had a big lead and only won by five. Yale almost pulled it off (even though they never had the ball with the chance to tie or take the lead)"

I'll take that five more times, please.

them shooting so much from the 3 is a sign of getting dominated in the paint

I suspect that is the reason our play deteriorates the second half.

So you are not accounting to the fact if Yale is hitting at that clip early on LSU would not have changed their defensive scheme?

Yea well, if LSU made 100% of their shots we’d still win the game. What happened, happened and we won. Maybe the reason some teams struggle with doing what they want to against LSU is bc of what we’re doing.

Moral of the story. Give credit where it’s due, every tourney game is a challenge and upsets happen all the time.

not really. LSU relaxed. If Yale had started stroking 3's, we would have played with more intensity.
