Absolutely. I would hate to be the one to tell these players that busted their arse all season that we just didnt feel the need to accept a bowl bid. Come on man !!!!!!~!

I am not suggesting we shouldn’t take the bowl, I personally think we should. My question is more about are there reasons why LSU may decide against it? I can remember A&M not taking their bowl when they switch to coach Fran, but I don’t remember the reasoning behind it.
My hope is that we are more or less obligated, contractually or otherwise, by the SEC to take it.

I don't think the SEC office and commissioner, as well as our athletic department, will allow us to forgo bowl money two years in a row.

Ah, I hadn't heard that. Any truth to that? I've honestly never read the precise terms of his contract.

Sounded like O said something in his post game PC. Doucet tweeted this that night. I've seen it mentioned in the advocate or other places since then, when before he specifically was to coach a bowl.

I actually would not be against another give away to appease the NCAA. Don’t want them to drop the hammer. Self penalization seems the safer route. Rather get it over with now versus bs being passed to new staff.
