re: If we wait to fire O

Absolutely correct. Let’s see the athletic department is 80 million in the hole. Don’t think the AD is willing to eat all of the buyouts.
First, $80mm reduction in REVENUE does not equal a negative balance or a hole of $80mm. Second, the athletic department isn’t footing the bill for everything; it’s TAF which is a completely distinct entity.

You can't fire O until you are ready to get rid of everyone.
Otherwise, he will go out and whiff on another hire that we can't get rid of for financial reasons.

Do it
Burn it
Burn it all to the fricking ground
The locker room is gone
The appeal of coming to LSU is gone
O is a broken man

You can't do it now. Signing day is Wednesday. We have a really good class lined up. We can't afford to lose a bunch of those kids. We need bodies. Do it after the season and after all these kids have signed.

We have to have time to get a good coach. They will fly off of the market

Woody had a good track record of making splash hires pulling guys.
He is the person I am most pissed with. There was no reason to give O the raise and buyout after last year. O should have received a $5M bonus for the amazing season, but contract changes are to protect your coach from being taken. No school in the NCAA, NFL, or CFL was going to try and take O. We hold all the power and should negotiate as such.
Pelini also would have came for $1.2ish mill. He had nothing going for him.
Woodward is the reason the $ will play a huge role in changes ( unless the title IX is real bad.)

Freeze will get hired by someone other than LSU
FIFY
You have to have an IQ <50 to think LSU is in a Moral Compass issue like Title IX and would hire Freeze to lead us out of it...

Freeze to BR would do what... raise the hooker population?
Hire Craig James as an assistant. That will even things out.

Who is going to pay the 30 million in contract buyouts? How much are you going to donate to the buyout?
The optics of it would be fricking terrible unless there is something more in the Title IX stuff. What coach worth a shite is going to come here after you fire a guy that won a NY6 bowl and NC and has a bad season and you shite can him. He could lose 100-0 today and still keep his job. Only off the field stuff can get him fired at this point.

you may have to take the loss, stop the bleeding, and take a shot at Napier
he wont demand much money and will just be happy for the opportunity
What is it about “buyout” that you people don’t understand??? The athletic dept. is $80 MILLION in the red right now. What, are you gonna start a gofundme to pay these coaches to leave?

I really want Freeze, but it wouldn't happen with the title 9 shite we have going on. My second is Matt Campbell. His success in sustaining and improving Toledo and building up Iowa St is just the type of guy we need. We need to get on him after this year IF we are going to go along with firing O, because I can see Michigan running to get this guy.

My personal belief, and this is merely speculation, is that Napier has already been lined up for it. Again, just my opinion in connecting the dots given all the current circumstances (Title9, budget, recruiting, USCe, etc
I am so tired of the Napier shite just because he was under Saban and has been a great HC for ULL. His time as an OC/QB coach at previous schools was arse and his offense at ULL is arse.
Campbell is way better for what we need. He'd have one side of the ball locked down (offense) and we can go get a good DC every few years. He's had sustained and improved success at Toledo and has pretty much built up Iowa St from nothing.

DO IT NOW
Why waste another fricking season??
This is how we got Ed. I hate it because the championship was the greatest thing ever but everything else has been horrendous at worst and mediocre at best.

Freeze is different...he is Saban’s Kryptonite
True but Freeze also taught Saban to chang this offense. Difference now is that Saban’s offense can score with Freeze.
Freeze moved Saban from the Miles old school offense.

Idk bro, Saban is still hard core power/play action. He just sprinkles in a lot of spread concepts.

Why would we want Cristobal? He’s basically O Lite. Used car salesmen who don’t know shite about football

Unless O is implicated in the title IX stuff he's not going anywhere this season.
