If We Play State and Troy Again Now...Do We Win?

I say yes to both games.
Yes we sucked hard in both those games but State was ready for that game. It was huge for them...at home... and everything we did turned to shite...perfect storm. (I also think Miles loses that game too). This is part of the risk of scheduling an SEC opponent early in the season...which I've never liked.
There is, however, no excuse for Troy.
That game remains an enigma.
But I still believe that with the improvements this team has made since Troy and with the people we've gotten back from injury....we roll both those teams easily now.
What sayeth the Rant?

Yes we sucked against Troy but had the clock not been stopped at end of first half (wrongly IMO) the guy was tackled with one second on clock not 2...they don't get that FG and tigers would have won.
I would love to have seen the state game play out without our TD being called back on 2nd or 3rd play of the game...could have been a different game.

That single play changed the entire dynamic of the game....and it was without a doubt, one of the shittiest calls I've ever seen against us.

It's not just that it was 1 second vs 2. They were basically allowed an entire timeout/subsitution to get proper personel on the field. Had the clock been operated properly and stopped with 1 second while the chains moved then started, they never would've been able to get their entire field goal team in position for the kick. It was a grossly blown situation by the officials. And it was the difference in the game as sick as that makes me.

Exactly. That one TD called back in the State did hurt momentum wise but it would not have stopped State from pushing us around all night. We still get beat and beat soundly if that TD wouldn't have been called back in my opinion.

Yeah taking huge part of Canada's offense out the first half of Troy was a game loser in my opinion. We scored much more when Canada was able to do what he does best which is shifts and confusion. I know it was CEO trying to limit penalties, but it killed our offensive production.
Miss St. had a huge home field advantage and played better than they were. We had several of our best players out, and hadn't gotten the young bucks up to the speed of the game. Were playing musical chairs on the offensive line and they took advantage. No way the beat us down now like they did then. Next year I hope we take them to the woodshed and spank that tail like there's no tomorrow.
