think it has to do with HOW Tennessee lost
I don’t think that will play that much in to it. Look at how LSU lost to Tenn, or Oregon lost to UGA. If that was taken into account you’d have to punish teams for struggling to win against teams they should have dominated, I.e Ohio State this past weekend.

Even if we win out and beat GA in the SEC championship game, we are not getting in the CFP over a one loss TN. Especially when you consider that we badly lost the head to head matchup against TN.

Even if we win the SEC Championship, I don't know if that is enough to vault a Tennessee team that would have one less loss than us and has a dominant win in Baton Rouge.
Even the national media sees it. If LSU wins out and beats UGA for the SECCG they are in. UGA made UT look like a flash in the pan. LSU will have to beat #1 to get there.

Did Oregon beat 2 top 10 teams?
They beat #9 and #12 since you are going off of the rankings at the time that they played. And they have one less loss than us.
So... No.

If we Win out, we will jump Tenn.
They would never put a Tenn team that didn't win the East side of the conference and then not make it to the SEC championship Game. Georgia is Killing TN. We need GA to win out until the SEC championship game. Then LSU needs to win and we will be in the Top 4 Hands down!!

Ok where do you think Kansas St should be ranked? They’ve got two top 10 wins

If we win out, I think our biggest threat right now is Tennessee. Georgia is going to get in if the SEC Championship is their only loss. But the committee won't let three SEC teams in unless everyone else falls apart. Even if we win the SEC Championship, I don't know if that is enough to vault a Tennessee team that would have one less loss than us and has a dominant win in Baton Rouge.
This situation reminds me a lot of 2016, and it's not good news for us. In 2016, Penn State took two early losses, including a close OOC game against 8-4 Pittsburgh and a blowout conference loss to a 10-2 Michigan team, before going on a run that included beating undefeated Ohio State to win the division. They beat Wisconsin for the Big 12 title and finished 11-2 and on a 9-game winning streak. Ohio State, meanwhile, finished 11-1 with a slew of solid wins, the only loss being to Penn State.
The final CFP rankings? 11-1 Ohio State made the playoff as #3. Big Ten Champion 11-2 Penn State was left out at #5.
Tennessee has an even better case than OSU in that scenario since Tennessee beat the crap out of us.
Going into last weekend, I was really hoping Tennessee would win out and that we would get a shot at avenging the loss. I think if you're talking about 11-2 SEC Champion LSU splitting two games with 12-1 runner-up Tennessee, while 11-1 Georgia sits there at a combined 0-1 against those two teams, the Committee might give bids to both LSU and Tennessee.
Let's hope somebody somewhere can pull off the unthinkable against Tennessee lol.

I’m fairly confident that LSU will be at #7 tonight. Really nothing to worry about if we win out.

just keep winning. the SEC champ will never get left out.
And if we lose to the Pigs and/or 4T8 yet still make it and win the SECCG?
