Many corporations will use the pandemic to justify economic cuts that they now have an excuse to make but would not have been otherwise able to do so for PR reasons. Colleges with money losing sports programs will probably do the same.

It will be back but I think we will see some hard at the core changes. We can only speculate as to what they will be.

1918 — Our Sacred Number 18 at LSU

No CFB was cancelled in WWII

Why is LSU’s Jersey number 18 sacred?

When I said I'd give anything to get the season we had last year, this isn't what I meant, God!

If Trump is POTUS then yes unless numbers are way down. Why even now though when we never reported pneumonia or flu numbers like this?

I’ll give you that On Campus Gameday will be greatly diminished for years to come.

When the XFL opens the doors to these kids the NFL will be forced to follow suit, that will be the end of the NCAA plantation making billions off these kids at the cost of a fancy locker room and a 20k Dodge Charger

say what? Once there’s a vaccine, we’ll be back to (mostly) normal.

And football is a cash cow. It’ll be back in full force.

The number 18 wasn’t a thing before Mauck passes it to Hester.

CFB just like every thing else will have to pivot. It will never be the same. Just like airlines and hospitality that took it on the chin from COVID, business will change but not go away.

Didn’t they take a season off during WWII?

Nope.

They're fast tracking a type of vaccine that has never been approved for use in humans to combat a virus that we've never been able to thawart with typical vaccines. Think about that for a second.

Please.

The XFL doesn’t have the money to make playing there over the NFL and option and they don’t hve the roster spots to take every high school kid.

The XFL’s best bet is being a spring pro league and getting some really college offense in there to score a ton of points.

They cant replace college of the NFL.

Correct. Remember the USFL? The NFL has too much money, power and influence to be stopped or even impeded by another football league. The Rock and his partners are 1 NFL owner, 2 tops. Ño billions in tv to even try to compete. They were, are and always will be a laughingstock and no threat to the NFL or college for that matter. The major kids in college can make more in college than the xfl
