Not in the same way anyway. This was a house of cards but I always figured it would be spiraling costs that brought it down, not a pandemic.

I agree totally, if this happens, college sports will be changed forever

You think football will never be back because of this one season that we might not play? I need whatever you’re smoking.

No, I think he just means that some of the fervor and the way it is consumed may be altered.

That’s not what he’s saying

Expect a completely different CFB if they don’t play in 2020

P5 division
G5 division
FCS
D1
Etc

A lot of programs will shut down. And this is just football. Baseball, basketball, etc will be impacted the most

Maybe the way it’s consumed but I feel like There will be a renewed interest in seeing things live once we can.

I agree. Once you jump off a moving ship it’s hard to get back on. Covid will be around again next year with cases/death counts still being reported. You either accept the new reality or cave and hide with no official gameplan

Well, that’s one.
College football is going to be radically altered after this. I expect athletes to get a substantial part of the pie. This will create haves and have-nots. The have-nots will drop out of college football, perhaps still playing, but at a radically different level. Also, fans wre drifting away - especially from stadiums. I think that accelerates rapidly.

Didn’t they take a season off during WWII? It’ll be back but I’m sure some differences. Once there is vaccine and instant testing we’re good to go.

Sure it will. It’s one season.

College sports have made incremental changes throughout it’’s history. I remember people decrying scholarship limit reductions yet here we are. Full cost of attendance stipends we’re going to kill it but here we are.
NIL cash will change the landscape a lot but It will go on.

I think it will be back stronger than ever. People will be so happy for a return to normalcy.

If it survived then when it wasn’t near as big as now it’ll survive a year now. You’re probably a cuck that watches his fat wife get plowed too

That argument doesn't make sense.

The revenue requirements are exponentially higher today so losing that revenue will have exponentially worse effects.

How are smaller schools going to survive? I'm talking about their whole athletic department, not just football. Those rent a win checks fund their programs. The NCAA is going to hurt from loss of March Madness TV revenue also.

This is very, very bad.

Ok, you may lose the ULMs of the world. Go say college football isn’t coming back after this is ridiculous. They’ll play a fall or spring season anyway so this is all irrelevant but for the sake of argument, college football is going to be fine. Maybe even more competitive
