It’s not going to be that far fetched. A full uninterrupted season becomes less likely everyday

And we could all die tomorrow..or maybe next week...how about next year.... see where I’m going with this?....

They either going to play a full schedule or cancel all together. They not going to play an 8 game schedule with no bowl games.

They won't. We will play football this season. This shite will run its course by then and we will be back to normal.

I do not want this to be true. But I am pretty sure we can hang football this year. The vaccine wont be ready until at least February/March. You cant rush that. Yes the number of cases will die down SOME this summer. But the virus will still remain just to pop up again drastically in the fall. They are not going to risk it until there is a vaccine. Sorry but this is the world we live in right now. The vaccine will be the saving grace in all of this. I honestly do not think ANY school will be had again until 2021. You can basically say that 2020 is just a wash.

I'm not willing to say on 4/1 that football will be canceled, but to think that is not a very real possibility is naive. Wimbledon was canceled today for the first time since WWII...and it wasn't set to begin until the VERY END OF JUNE! It's April 1st, and events set to take place 3 months in the future are being canceled today. And tennis could be one of the ultimate "social distancing sports!"
You can bank on it, schools/colleges are going to be among the LAST large scale institutions to resume normal activities. You're already seeing many say they aren't planning on resuming in-person summer classes. If that is the case, then they aren't allowing athletes to be on campus either
If come May 1st we are still in full fledged panic mode, then the future timeline for canceling events may get extended at least a month. We're talking August at that time. And when you consider that football games are some of the largest mass gatherings in this country, you can't bet the powers that be will be extra-cautious.
Hopefully, at some point relatively soon we realize the "response" may be far more devastating (with respect to the amount of people affected) than the risk and most people collectively have enough and essentially "revolt". The government leaders and media have HUGE incentive to keep the doom and gloom messages going for months. It's going to take the people pushing back to turn the tide. That's not to say this virus isn't a serious situation, but at some point people are going to be more apt to accept the relatively small risk of of dying from this virus in exchange for the liberty to return to an enjoyable life.

Therapeutics around the corner..vaccine being worked on night and day....do you honestly believe we will be in this boat in September?
israel is making a cure from antibodies.
they need people who had it and are two weeks recovered.

they are testing a vaccine.
on rats. June 1 for humans.
kaiser Permanente has begun human testing in seattle of a vaccine.
its going to be many moons before its released to general.population.
i bet no football season.
college needs crowds for revenue.
i think pros will start late, go empty stadia and maybe 8 games.

Unless you are talking a reduced season?

At least everyone can say they got to witness the greatest season ever played. It was probably good to shut it down.
I have an uncle that played golf one time. He played at a par 3 course and hit a hole in one on his first ever swing on a golf course. He never hit another shot. Didn't want to mess with perfection.

There is hope that the existing BCG vaccine works against Covid-19. Trials underway now in Australia we will know in 2-4 months. The countries that use it have very low cases (Japan, Mexico, Russia, etc) The USA doesnt use it and hasnt for a long time.
