If there is one thing we all should learn from this team

and i am as guilty as anyone, is that the hype st LSU is off the charts . This team was ranked 1 or 2 preseason. This was supposed to be one of the strongest, deepest pitching staffs in LSU history.
The reality is this most likely is the worst pitching staff this century and team field players are grossly overrated for the most part. not all, but most.
Todays coaching job by JJ is the worst I've seen in a long long time.

Particularly and specifically LHP
Not doing any research on it, but when your dominant RH lineup is below Mendoza vs LHP, this probably didn’t start this year in college
As analytical as we are supposed to be, these kids likely have history going back that shows this weakness

Look at Florida with all their talent.
They are like .500 overall and were also a projected top 3 team.
LSU had no business being ranked that highly preseason. I never believed that.

Yep LSU and UF both having hangovers… but only one of us got to taste the champagne

So are you saying that LSU right handers can’t hit left-handed pitching and it’s not pervasive in college baseball?

Winning the championship 10 months ago can only take you so far. At some point, that has to become last year and you have to start losing the benefit of the doubt.
I’m not in fire Jay mode yet, but the shine is certainly off him in my mind. This season may as well be down the drain, he better start doing everything he can to get talent in here and prepare himself for next season. He just thinks this year is a pressure cooker, next year, the psi will be turned up tenfold.
