I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw in the Miami game and for the most part we looked a lot better than I was expecting but

To just beat Auburn, LSU has a lot of things that need correcting. Missed blocking assignments, poor blocking techniques, both allowed defensive penetration into the backfield that disrupted plays. Missed communication between WR and QB. There's a lot they need fixing. LSU has the players to get the job done, they just need to fix these issues.

If our wide receivers catch the ball.. We’ll blow everybody out.. We’re the only team year after year to match bama physicality.. If our offense can gel and start to rolling we’ll be scary good.. Our receivers were getting separation against Miami corners with ease

how many games have we been robbed at AU?

It's bad

Miles was fired after losing there the last second as you may recall

All the more reason why thoughts of us going up there and blowing them out are absurd.

I’m not saying our guys need to make circus catches, but they need to catch the ball when it hits them in the hands or chest regardless of where a defender is.

Okay, fine. We disagree on this, but supposing you are right, you need to judge Burrow against a 70% benchmark, because that’s the percentage good QBs would routinely have if you make the same adjustments for their receivers.

This is why we can't have nice things.

This 2-3 drops wouldn't have changed the Miami game by a lot, much less a much better auburn team at their place. Don't be crazy man.

Thread reads like a John madden tribute:

If we score more points than we did and hold them to less, I think we win the game by a larger margin

I'm certainly rooting for us to give Auburn a woodshed arse-whoopin, but it just isn't too realistic. Yes, Burrow is very accurate without question, but the ballgame at Auburn is just so emotional and just usually a blow for blow affair. I do like Burrow better than Stidham, and I like our D the best, but I c still see the game being close.

Probably from the same place you came up with the “1 drop” stat you threw out there as fact.

The guy that makes stuff up is criticizing others. Classic.

OL will need to fix a lot of other things too. Blocking must improve.
You mean like pass blocking, run blocking and assignment knowledge.

There is NO fixing. All you can do is put a tempoprary patch on the blowout and hope it gets you home.

I agree, I think the oline will be a big reason to why LSU will lose this game. Hope I’m wrong

Most teams get better after a game.

Auburn will too.

I’d take a 3-2 win at Jordan Hare all day long. Could be the ugliest win in the history of college football and I’d be zippadeedooda-ing for an entire week.

In football at the college level ... usually the most team improvement comes between the first and second game. We have 11 new starters. We played 7 freshman. Probably a good indicator as last year we played 20. Whatever

The routes our WRs are running with crisp cuts was very encouraging. Can these guys beat press coverage against the top teams.. which we have not done in several years.. will make a big difference
