If we lose, it's still a resounding success. We just can't lose another or it's not going to be near as special.

Yes. Absolutely. LSU shattered expectations so far.

Bama doesn't define our program, we shouldn't let it. Besides, it's not like many other teams are beating Bama right now.

I'd say no unless we win it all. A loss to Bama for the 9th time in a row will overshadow anything else.

As long as were competitive, we’re still getting in the playoffs. Because the seasons been an enormous success. Win and it’s one of the best ever.

It depends on how the rest of the season plays out. But if LSU finishes 11-1 with the only loss to Bama, hell yes it is absolutely a success.

If LSU doesn’t beat Alabama this season they’re not going to until Saban retires.

Not exactly. The expectation for this season is 11-1. Now if the only loss is to Bama then yes it is a success and LSU will meet expectations

If Bama is our only loss and it’s a good game we’re likely vying for a playoff spot. O should be praised if we’re 11-1 (7-1).

Why? Losing is expected (see point spread). We're playing in Bama. Look at what we have accomplished this year. Just short of amazing! You can't take the past all away with just one game. 11-1 will still shine, even if 12-0 would glow like the sun.

No, it was more like 10-2, and some said 9-3. Bama was a given loss, most predicted we'd slip and lose to someone we shouldn't, and a few thought we would lose to texas, Bama, and one slip up.

Success? Yes. But this team, had championship aspirations/expectations this year, like most, however, this a realistic year to have those lofty goals.
If championships are the measure, in reasonable championship years, then it falls short.
And I dont think that is a bad thing. Just means we are an elite program and championships are now the standard in evaluating years. Have to have a mindset like the Celtics and Patriots to accomplish such a daunting feat in a given year.

Look man, when you have a QB and an offense like this, expectations have to change.

If we can't beat them with this QB and this offense I wonder what's it will take for this HC to do it. We have enough, and really we're the better team top to bottom. Have to get it done.

We can lose to bama and have a good chance at still making the playoffs. Even if we don't and finish 11-1, it's a major success.
