When you have a defense full of high 3 and 4 star players on it and it performs much worse than many defenses full of 2 and 3 star players,who gets the blame. We have a defense full of guys that were offered scholarships by the best defensive teams in the country. No way can it be anything besides coaching.
There's no way that we just got unlucky and got all of the busts among the players everyone recruited out of high school

Well hello there, Matt.
House was absolutely a problem. The fact that the players hated him is a problem. You could God’s gift to defensive scheme, but if the players don’t want to play for you, the defense will suffer.

One of the problems last year was they played pretty complex match zone schemes. The DB’s had a very hard time picking up guys going in and out of their zones which led to numerous busts with guys wide arse open. It wasn’t a simple Cover 2 zone.

Why do you say improvement isn’t possible? You think the players just suck ? I’ve seen much less talented defenses play better defense so I know for fact they can improve. Man I really hope they do or I guess I’ll save money after canceling yt tv for the season.

Think I got my answer judging the absolute melt I've seen here today. Burns and Ryan still massive let downs, and Perkins being a non-factor in the rush. At least our DL looked better than last year.
