If SEC members are conspiring to expel LSU, do we even want to stay?

Live sports are the hottest television/streaming properties and companies will jump at the chance to broadcast LSU games. Why share revenue with bottom feeders and people who hate us?

Yes, we want to stay. Going to a lesser conference or making a suicidal attempt at being an independent is, at best, foolish. We would lose clout, players, recruits and money.

I have 2 concerns with leaving the SEC. If LSU goes the independent route, will they still be able to put together a competitive schedule? Sankey will put pressure on SEC schools not scheduling them, and outside of a handful of teams, there's not many prime time worthy opponents that would voluntarily come to Baton Rouge. Go look at Notre Dame's schedule and tell me how uninteresting those games will be this year. Secondly, the other sports outside of football. Think about what LSU baseball outside of the SEC looks like. I hate the idea of a whole season of playing mid tier teams. I don't know if there's a good resolution at this point, but I think LSU and the SEC need each other more than both think

I’d also be happy with leaving. We get battle tested in all sports due to the SEC but we could make it up in another conference.

Joining the ACC almost guarantees a playoff every year. Miami is currently the only team with any real talent in the conference. The home opponents would be trash other than FSU and Miami, well maybe VA Tech too.

Yes. It’s always been this way. This is nothing new, they’ve just said it in public now. And now we know that they look at LSU and Louisiana as the weird cousin.
But we looked the other way. Not anymore. Now we know their true colors and get to use it to our advantage. Take this and use it as motivation and run absolute roughshod through this bitch this year.

LSU has the 11th toughest SOS this year, and the upcoming Ole Miss game will probably be promoted as the game of the year. Was pointing out negatives with leaving the SEC. It does feel like divorce is inevitable, but it feels like it will be leaving one bad scenario for another.
