I have no crow to eat. Bama's defense in the 1st half showed how to beat this team.

97 yards, 6 drives, 5 punts. Do the math.

Auburn adjusted. Props to them.

They played better on defense as well, which in turn gave their offense a chance to come back and win.

LSU lost by one score on the road. Alabama lost by one score at home.

LSU's defense could have tackled better and played more disciplined. But Chavis did better than you gave him credit for.

So yes, you do need to eat crow.

I do like the knee jerk reactions from posters and then something like this happening. But shite, I hate cam newton and chizik. Hard to feel good one way or the other.

Not really. I made this post in the 1st quarter.

I can't control what the teams do at halftime.

Bama played their D to perfection in the 1st half.

In the 2nd half they played like LSU did the whole game vs Auburn.

Then maybe we should just start giving Malzhan and Cam credit.

it wasnt really knee jerk. bama dominated the 1st half.

Also no on is giving credit to Auburns D. They gave up 3 points in the 2nd half.

just goes to show that most of the idiots in this thread do not understand football.

And this is why you need to eat the crow. You jumped the gun.

Game over, and crow is on the menu.

I have already, read the thread. shite, I bet on Auburn.

Their OL came out and put a hat on a head and opened holes that weren't there in the 1st half.

jumped the gun?

again, look at the 1st half stats old man. I didn't jump the gun on anything. I observed exactly what was happening in the game.

Did I predict Aubun to get shut out or something? Did I even predict Auburn to lose?

No. I started a thread praising Bama's D for what they were doing at the time.

You people are so stupid. Cant even convert the context of my post

you can't pick a half and say "that's how you win" if the team you are pointing to illustrate your point doesn't actually "win".

Auburn deserved to win. That was an incredible come back.

I don't think you can do any more back pedaling than what you're doing.

Again, I never said anything about winning.

I said "this is how you stop Newton".

they were attacking. LSU sat back and let Newton run all over him.

And actually the biggest change in the game were the 2 long passes Newton completed. That totally softened up the Bama defense.

I'm with LE.

It's not just about the Auburn game. It's our total inability to stop the spread as evidenced by the auburn AND ole miss games.

Sure, Cam made a couple of big throws, but one was pretty horrible and the safety should have made a play on it. Bama made mistakes as LSU did. I would have just been more comfortable making Cam throw and forcing Auburn to rely on converting low percentage plays rather than putting up over 400 yards on the ground.
