Not sure I would have supported that action if I knew his successor was going to be The Orgeron.

I would have supported Lou Tepper if I was assured that he would let his coaches coach!!!
Our offense improved 300% after Miles was fired and we had a TE coach calling the plays.
I'm excited to have 2 great coordinators and a head coach that will stay out of their way.

People are bitter because LSU hired our DL coach as HC.
He got promoted over a guy who had the best defense in the country last year as a DC.

Aranda should have gotten the job on a last resort not O.

I do believe he has learned a little from his time at Ole Miss but he was 3-21 in SEC I believe. That makes him a better coach but can you really get worse than 3-21.

Care to take the bet? You think it's not a valid question?

When Orgeron took over at Ole Miss did he have a 5 star QB and his team filtered with top talent that was acquired through cheating from the previous staff???

You idiots who keep throwing O's record at OM around as an indicator for everything is absolutely asinine!

If O crumbles this year with loads of talent and 2 great coordinators then I will eat crow, but how in the hell do you compare what O inherited when he took over Ole Miss to what Miles would inherit now?

Matt Luke will win more than 3 games with Patterson at QB.

Is it possible to let this one year play out (JUST THIS ONE) before you claim Orgeron to be the worst coach in world???

For anyone to even wonder who is a better coach between CEO and Miles is laughable.

Miles has proved it. CEO hasn't.

People are bitter because Joe Allevas "search" was a fricking joke. I guarantee you if Alabama , Ohio State, Michigan, etc had the same amount of time LSU had to find a coach they would have handled this much differently and got their guy. LSU has the same resources as those schools do but Alleva got slapped around, threw up his hands and got made a fool of. Alleva had no intentions of firing Miles only to turn around and hire O, I would bet all my limbs and both my nuts on that. O may turn out to be great but LSU looked foolish with their "search".

I'll repost this from the other thread. Bottom line, no way Miles doesn't do better than 3-21 in Oxford. And I'll take this bet against anyone:

Comparison is completely wrong on many levels. First, I will take a coach willing to change with the times over a pig headed coach still living in the 1960's. Second, nobody was going to be successful at Ole Miss back then unless they were willing to massively cheat and had the support of the admin and alums to fund it. Kind of like now I guess.

feel free to bookmark this. any job miles takes in the future i don't expect him to last past 4 years. the man is 64 and runs an archaic offense. i don't expect him to get a serious chance to coach big time football again.

If Les goes there, is he going to bring along Cam as OC?

How would that affect Patterson's career?

A change for the better....?

Remains to be seen. But if we want to compete for championships again, a change had to be made. The Miles offense cant beat teams with equal or better talent in today's football and he proved to be too stubborn to change.

Cutcliffe never won less than 3 SEC games in a year in his six year tenure in Oxford. Four years he won at least 4.

O won 2, 1, and 0.

So, O was a massive step down and lowered the level of achievement for one of the bottom dwellers of the SEC.

Our head coach did that.

Now I will listen to logical talk.

I hope he does turn out to be our best coach ever but i'm skeptical at best.

Miles vs Orgeron Head to Head:

2005
LSU 40, Ole Miss 7

2006
LSU 23, Ole Miss 20

2007
LSU 41, Ole Miss 24

I'd prefer to not see another of our National Championship coaches in the fricking SEC West. And any of you who would are stupid.

Oh boo fricking hoo. You're new on here but I'm sure you're well aware of all the threads and posts over the years that were for one purpose only, to shite all over Miles.

Where you as upset about those as any of the ones you claim are shitting on O? Or were you upset at all? My guess is you were 100% behind those anti-Miles threads and posts.

The talent level those three years is just unreal.... now look at the talent difference... switch coaches and we'll see.....

No, you have to give O 11 years too at LSU and then compare.

If he's winning, sure, If he starts losing like he did at Ole Miss, he'll eclipse Miles regular season losses at LSU in 4 years.

I don't expect him to eclipse Miles losses in 6 years nor do I expect him to eclipse his wins in 11 years.
