Gruden's stayed in the booth too long.
Forget him being an unproven college coach--high school kids today are not in awe of him as a coach--most have no idea he was a coach. They think of him as a broadcaster.
Gruden's moment to return was several years ago. It's gone now.

Gundy in a heartbeat, Imagine an offensive guru with all of our athletes? Sheesh... get him, then Mark Richt gets fired at Georgia and Pick-Up Pruitt from there and wam, Natty's as far as the eye can see.

Frank Wilson, Ed Orgeron.

Pruitt seems like he is a huge distraction.

none of these smaller school guys like Fuente or Hermann who have a few a years of success
those guys rarely, if ever, work out
if Miles is to go, LSU needs to hire a proven CEO type coach that can run an entire program at a major college

I wonder if the rant will want the replacement fired after two losses as well.

It indeed may not happen.
To say conclusively it is "never gonna happen"?
You're pulling that out of your arse just to have something to say.
There's hundreds and thousands of lame posts on this board without you adding one more.

Because he loves LSU and has said he would love to come back one day iirc

Why would Jimbo leave FSU to come here!??! That makes no sense. We're not a bigger program, we don't pay more, and the competition is worse.
Yeah, good luck with that.

I would take the organ grinder's little monkey right now over Les.

I'm not nor have I ever been a fan of Miles. However, I would rather Miles hire a real OC, DC and get out of their way. BDP needs to hit the road. Get BO Peleni as DC. I have no idea for OC but no doubt that Cam is not getting it done. If Miles is the culprit then he must back off.

Everytime this thread comes up, hilarity ensues. Some of you really overvalue what it is to be the LSU head coach. As much as Les has won, and all you still hear about is 2008 (where he lost his only game due to poor clock management vs Ole Miss) and 1/9/2012. Then, lets make a "wish list" of coaches that will NEVER come here:
"Saban as head coach, Urban Meyer as OC!!"
"Oh, I bet Bill Belichick would accept if offered!"
"Lets hire the ghost of Knute Rockne!"

quote:God help me you people are dumb. Have you all forgotten how much everyone hated Jimbo's offense? Mullen's really lighting it up... The same Kelly Les took to task with his gimic offense? The rest of that list are absolute jokes. Dabo or Gary... omg...
The calls should go in order to:
Jimbo Fisher--Florida State
Gary Patterson--TCU
Dabo Swinney--Clemson
Chip Kelly--Philadelphia Eagles
Tom Herman--University of Houston
Justin Fuente--University of Memphis
Dan Mullen--Mississippi State
I would be thrilled with anyone on that list, from top to bottom.

If I had my choice? Either Jimbo, Dabo or Chip Kelly. But I'd hate to see Dabo leave for Bama in a few years.
