if not for the Chiefs prevent vs bama in 2012 and 2014 would Miles be the highest paid coach

#1 those weren't even close to routine field goals.
#2 If LSU loses a close one and win out they would have had a one loss season with a win in the Sugar Bowl.
#3 LSU would not have gotten a rematch.
#4 With say a close loss at Alabama and a one loss season. I don't see how you would project that as a bad season for LSU or Miles.
The reality is in 2011. LSU had a better record with a much harder schedule and won the conference over the declared NC. They split the series. People let the media think for them.

Had this been any other team in the SEC besides the gumps
WE would have played another opponent in the BCS
WE would have played another opponent in the BCS

Exactly.
I don't even know how you realistically psychologically prepare your team for a stupid rematch scenario like that.
Look at the TCU situation right now for how insulting it was to pass over a team from another conference.

No....but if you void that season from his record then you might have something.
If you void 2008-2014 from Saban's record, he would have been fired after the 2007 season.
It doesn't work that way though, does it?

This. LSU had the best season of any CF team of all time... Until they shite the bed on 1/9. What is the obsession with saying "we lost game x" when we won it?

Alabama dominated that game. Those fieldgoals that they missed killed them. With those fieldgoals. We don't win the SEC, and if invited to the BCSCG we probably still lose. If not for going on to win the SEC would Miles still be here
Jesus. The idiots are everywhere.

Had Miles won only 25 games instead of 100; not won a NC and played in another; and sent many kids into the NFL- he would have been fired a long time ago.

2011 was an awesome season. NC game sure put a damper to it. It's going to be worse if your obsession with Les did not allow you to enjoy that season.
You'll notice that a large number of fans are posting about play of LSU players in NFL. Due to Les-obsession, they did not get to enjoy the same play when the players were at LSU. These guys had a record breaking season here. We wasted it with bitch-fest.
Hope we get to enjoy a game/season as it is in progress.

WTF are you talking about? So you must think that because I don't like CLM that I didn't enjoy LF running up and down the field?
You tried though

OK. Refer me to a thread you started about an awesome 2011 season or even players doing well last year.

Alabama dominated that game

Ummmm.....how exactly do you figure that?

No, but had Pitt not beat WVU back in 2007, Miles is most likely fired after the 2008 season.

If not for Pitt beating West Virginia in 2007 he would have been gone after 08-09
If not for Ok st choking in 2011, LSU has it's fourth national championship, and second under Miles. If Chavis stopped Bama on that last drive in 2012, LSU wins the West, negating another of Saban's NCs. You could also say, if Vadal didn't get penalized late against Bama this year, Bama does not go to the playoffs.
I love these hypotheticals. Keep them coming.
